Re: What did you do to your WK2 today?

I went with the factory setup because I didn't want some 18 year old kid tapping into my wiring, like what happened on my F-150 when I had an aftermarket hitch put on it 24 years ago. Now I've got a short when I plug into the flat pin plug that blows the fuse on my cruise control. I've had it in to several places, and they can't find it.

Now with the new Jeep factory wired, I don't have to worry anymore.

In my case, my F-150 came with the 4-pin harness pre-installed since it had a bumper-mounted hole for a ball. So, all I had to do was add the frame hitch.

Had the wiring not already been there, I would have gotten the package.

My issue was, the package price was way out of line for what you got on the F-150 (over $1000). The Jeep package is more realistic for the value (around $750).

Further, I really wanted the heavy duty cooling system since I have the V6 on the Jeep, so it would be working harder to pull than the V8 in my F-150.

Re: What did you do to your WK2 today?

Installed the pedal kit on my '14 GC today. wasn't as bad as I thought it would be after reading all the horror stories on here. I just left the kit in the hot car all day so the rubber was pretty pliable. took about 15min to do both. Now thinking on getting the one for the E-brake. def like the look of it. even more b/c I used my Customer Appreesh coupon so the it was free.

Thanks Jeep!

Re: What did you do to your WK2 today?

Dropped it off at my body shop to have the holes on the front bumper for the front plate filled.

Mofo dealers!

Asked them specifically do not drill the front bumper, dont put your advertisement on, and do not wash.

They didnt listen to a single thing.

Oh well they are paying for this.

Ouch, glad mine listened when I told them the same. Salesman went so far as to keep the various tags and stickers they pull off and put them in the book for me.
