Re: What did you do to your WK2 today?

Parked it in the garage. The hobby car is out getting a tranny rebuild and LSD installed so there's an open spot. It's a bit tricky backing into the garage with it compared to a tiny little hatchback. Motivated me to clean out the garage though.

Re: What did you do to your WK2 today?

I washed and vacuumed out the SRT. Then I installed some clear plastic to protect the door sills from scuffs.

Sweet Ride!! ^^

I WAS going to plasti dip the 18" rims on my limited to a glossy black. But my wife decided to ruin my plans by taking EXTRA long at the mall. SMH

Plastidip the wheels on the wife's 14' Overland. Still need to do the badges.

Did yours come with 3, 1/4" wide pieces of 3M Peel & Stick tape? Mine have 2 strips on the flat area, and 1 on the inside of the radius edge.
That sounds like mine.

The packaging was a nightmare, but it did its job. Better to be effective than pretty, I guess. It jut looks like someone shipped you a brick of C4 is all.

The tape is the same as mine. I found the best method was to stick the outer lip on first to ensure it's snug, then press the face down on the sill.

That's exactly what I did. It worked out perfectly, and I'm really happy with the way they look. I just set them in place before I pulled the tape off, and closed the door. They fit fine with no contact.

After that I cleaned the sills with alcohol, and set them in place, radius edge first. It took longer to pull the damn tape off than to install them. I stood on them in my stocking feet to set them, and they're not going anywhere. They really look good for the price. I'm glad I didn't pay over a C-Note for them. Thanks again.

who makes the clear film you applied? I've been meaning to research a clear film for my door sills as well.

Great looking SRT btw! Love the color
