Re: What did you do to your WK2 today?

Yesterday I finally broke down and ordered my Weather Tech, Techshade Sun Shade.

WeatherTech TechShade custom fit sun shade sun visor cars, trucks, SUV, CUV, minivan | WeatherTech.com

So far my wife has bought 2 of them, and we ended up taking both of them back for improper fit. Then I purchased one that I thought would be good, and the damn thing was so flimsy, it wouldn't stay up. The Grand Cherokee has got a lot of windshield.

So I got fed up and bought one I know would fit right. I hated to pay what I did. But Weather Tech's products are well made, and everything I've purchased from them fits like a glove, because it's all brand and model specific.

What's nice is they even ask the size of the sensor on the rear view mirror. Something I never thought about. Out here in the Summer without one your interior can easily get over 140 F. in just a few minutes. That along with direct sunlight isn't doing the leather interior any good at all. In Arizona they're a must have.

Great looking SRT btw! Love the color

It's just some clear film I got from my local sign shop. It only say Oracal 651 on the backing. It can in a 26" wide roll and I cut it to fit.

Re: What did you do to your WK2 today?

Load it with luggage for an overseas trip. Had 6 large bags plus 2 carry on. Parked at the hourly rate parking lot at Dulles International Airport to take luggage to ticket counter. After ticketing ran back to my wk2 to move it to the economy parking. Spend over 30 minutes looking for a spot and was back with my wife and son in another 20 mins.

Of course my wife's and son's luggage was a total of six 50 lbs bags (plus her carry on). I only had a carry on with 22 lbs. LOL (well i am staying until father's day and she is staying until mid August!!!!)

SO question;
Did i exceeded my payload capacity and was I better off with an SRT?
Hehehe

Installed some side steps. I'm not thrilled with the look, but my wife is short and thought they would help her with getting in and out.
