Re: What did you do to your WK2 today?

Drove around 550 miles including swinging by Crater Lake around 7800'. Maybe half the trip around 59mph and the other half around 70mph. Got 29.14 mpg on pen & paper. I was trying to break 30. Guess I gotta get some more miles on the motor first!

Drove 884 klms still had 144 left on the fuel range, 9.2/100 I was as fresh as a daisy, great car, comfortable, powerful and it just eats the klms like no other car I have owned.

Re: What did you do to your WK2 today?

I washed and de-mudded mine after rains all week and wheeling today. Made it nice and sparkly, did the jams, then opened the hood and had this look on me .Never ever had quite so much mud in places that mud does not belong! Oh well, I'll have it clean in time for the next trip out, I hope.

Nice, I did the same thing for my 1300 mile young GC. Washed about a thousand little bugs off the front end, cleaned all the jams and sills, wiped out the engine compartment, and put 3 coats of Zaino synthetic sealant on it. Mmm, sparkly indeed!

Painted my trim to match the body (Brilliant Black). Matches nice, even with the texture.
