The first set I got were a solid 3/8" longer than all the other nuts. But, that was the pn the dealer said was for my GC. When I took them back I noticed they had another set on the wall with 14x1.5 but they were shorter about the right amount so I got those. The PN I got is 82212567.
Looks good. Mine are OEM but they stick out quite a bit. I may try the set you bought.

Powder coats can handle extreme heat very well. I dont see it being any problems using on exhaust or body work sitting in the hot sun. Of course color fading is a different story...I guess it depends on quality and if its UV protected...

I asked if ceramic coating would be needed for the tips, the guy said no it would be overkill for just those. He said the tips don't get nearly as hot as the whole system. if I was doing the whole exhaust system than ceramic coating would be the way to go.

Here's what I did today.

Shark fin antenna and color matching flares... oh and rinsed it off.

Works great too. Reception is exactly the same and the paint matches.

...and that's why I don't want that stuff on my vehicle. I've found between false alarms and eventual malfunctions, it's just not worth it. I'd rather just pay attention and leave plenty of room ahead of me just in case.

Heck, now that I don't even have a CD player in my vehicle and most of the controls I need are on the steering wheel, the two major reasons to take my eyes off the road are now gone.

Having said that, I do like the backup sensors in parking lots when I have a panel van on either side of me. It's nice to only have to stick my bumper out a bit to sense if a vehicle or person is approaching from out of sight where I'm sitting. After that point, the camera does a good job or providing a good view to the sides and rear until I can directly see. It's very handy when backing out of my garage, too, since there is an adjoining townhouse next door with a couple of kids that like to play out in the parking area on scooters and those little electric cars.

It's no substitute for actually looking, but it's great for times you can't fully see.

Did they remove the flares to paint?
