Re: What did you do to your WK2 today?

well i didn't do all the work today but over the past few weeks I upgraded the exhaust on my 2011 grand cherokee x to a borla dual exhaust system, i also installed the mopar cold air intake, i removed the chrome tailgate handle and installed the black altitude one as well as the altitude black grill. I also installed crossed drilled and slotted rotors and painted my callipers red. oh and i replaced the ugly antenna with a shark fin antenna

my next project for next week will be installing the HID kit from xenon depot

Installed VLED reverse LED's and Triton V3 brake lights. Now my exterior lighting is all LED or HID. Happy camper!

Can you direct me to the VLED reverse LED's you picked up. I want to add this as well!

I had tint added to the front windows matching the factory tint (20% all around) and tinted the panoramic sunroof with 5% tint. I am very happy with the quality and match. I can highly recommend Pro-Tint in Indianapolis.

Added a set of Whispbar crossbars and a Thule Sonic (M) cargo box to get ready for a family camping trip to Big Bend NP.

Had my Magnaflow 16929 exhaust system hung today on my '15 Limited (bye bye single exhaust) - had the tips powder coated gloss black. Very happy with it so far, it's not overly loud and obnoxious but when you start it up and move, you can absolutely tell it is not a stock system. Looks pretty solid too and matches the other gloss black parts I've been replacing the chrome with. Eager to get it 'broken in' over the next 500-1,000 miles. Time to start driving

Re: What did you do to your WK2 today?

Today was the first nice Saturday since I got my GC that I didn't have any major commitments so after I had new rubber put on my wife's Subaru I did some minor things to my Jeep:

1. Got a few things together for the trunk and found a nice little surprise - the strap that holds the lid open. Hadn't noticed that before, nice little touch!

2. Put in the Lloyd's cargo mat that's just came in.

3. Put on the chrome door sill covers.

4. Found these cute rubber cup holder / nook and cranny inserts on ebay. Not sure I'll keep all of them in since seeing the word "Jeep" that many times seems a bit tacky, but I wanted to see how they all looked.

5. Finally got the chrome fog light bezels snapped on.

All I'm waiting on now is the shark fin antenna from Visual Garage and I'll be done for a little bit. I do eventually want to put tow hooks, the chrome insert for the lower fascia and a trailer hitch but those will have to wait for additional funding.

-D.

I have the same exhaust sitting in the garage for my '14 Limited Hemi. Haven't installed it yet as I'm scared of the drone. Been waiting for someone to post a review. The system was a gift from a family member in the aftermarket business.

Drone is not bad at all. It is louder at start up and idle than the stock V6 I have and is louder than the V8 2004 GC I had prior. I'm going to give it 500 miles or so before I jump to any major conclusions though.

With that said, I did run to the local Jeep dealership today to return the old rear fascia that had the single exhaust port (they have a $100 'core' return fee on the new part I put in - return the old one and get you $100 back). When I started the car up to leave I did get 2 fast head turns from some local employees right near me having a smoke break outside

Nice! My Hemi would let out a nice roar then.
