I got two keys, a half hour tutorial on all the features, a detailed inspection of the car looking for flaws, and $6500 off MSRP, and the full tank of gas.

I asked for the all-weather mats, but got denied. "I can sell them to you at cost, but I can't give them away."

I'd rather get the Huskys or WeatherTech mats anyways, so no big deal.

Re: What did your dealer give you with your new jeep?

I guess I've been fortunate enough to have been doing business with the same dealership for quite a number of years. I know everyone from the owner and managers down to the kid in the detail shop. I try to treat everyone there with courtesy and respect and receive the same in return.

I don't expect any special treatment, just a fair shake as anyone else would. Free hats, keychains, etc., are okay for some people I guess but to me I measure them on how I'm treated after the sale when I need service or warranty work done. That alone earns my future business.

All I expect is honesty and I guess I'm fortunate in getting that out of my dealer and their service department. I understand that they didn't build the vehicle or cause the problem but I know they're going to make an honest attempt to correct the problem... even if it takes a couple of service appointments to diagnose the problem and get parts ordered. I make every attempt at working with them, not at dumping my frustration or anger on them. Pissing off the people who're attempting to fix your vehicle gets you nowhere fast.

There have been a couple of rare ocassions where a new guy at the dealership quickly learned that I have a very sensitive bullshit meter and that I usually will catch it almost as fast as he can fling it. That mistake is never repeated... LOL.
