What electric brake controller for a trailer do you recomend?

I will be moving cross country soon and I am planning to haul some of our stuff cross country. All of the trailers I am looking at are dual axle and have electric brakes on each axle. I will be hauling about 3000 lbs.

What brake controller are you all using? or what brake controller would you recommend. I have been looking at the Tekonsha P3 trailer brake controller any other suggestions?

I have a teknosha prodigy that works very well, smooth and simple to setup. The only downside is easiest mounting location (above the hood release) gets in the way of knees.

Teconsha Prodigy works well. Mounted on lid of ash tray (in drink holder near gear stick) unclip wires and remove it when not towing,

I got the Teconsha P3, and installed it yesterday. I noticed when I turned the ignition off the controller stayed on, is this normal?
