Hi Guys,

Picked up the new Overaland yesterday afternoon. Wifes been out driving and I've been reading the 2012 manuals and user guides seeing I had only read the 2011 versions up to this point.

So on page 26 of the 2012 User Guide there is a section with a picture called Ambient Light I never saw this as a factory option on the 2012s?

Is this a option? It's not an accessory

I noticed that too.
I have not seen it mentionned anywhere except in that spot in the user guide.
It would have been nice to change the colour - to a different shade of blue?
I've been in Ford and GM vehicles that let you do that. Why not the GC?

Yes it's the Ambient Light accessory from MOPAR. I'm not sure if it comes with that exact button, but it's the same system they were thinking about making an option so you can get it if you really want it. There's a member here with pics of it that are really good showing all the colors it changes to if you're into that type of mod.

Ambient Light accessory was another "afterthought", take a look at the installation guide they show that button on the top of the console infront of the shift. But then they have you install the Ambient Light switch/button on the left side of the console by your right leg.

Why would they have just wired it to the same swith with some form of pigtail connector. We'll doesn't matter, we don't have the option of the option

Not to get too off topic, but the manual also refers to a tow/haul button on the dash. While I have the towing package, I don't have this button. What option do you need for it?
