So cleaning out my 2011 limited today and I came across this little thing.
it almost looks like an insert that may go somewhere for change. I have no idea. Any ideas?
It goes on top of your jack when you are jacking up the vehicle. The slot on the other end straddles the pinch weld (at rocker panel) at the jacking points: http://www.wk2jeeps.com/Misc/2011_wk_lift_points.pdf
It keeps the jack from scratching the paint and slightly helps prevent dents on the rocker panels.
Don't jack it under the aluminum differential, suspension, engine cradle, etc. These Jeeps are from Fra-gee-lee, Italy (remember The Christmas Story?)

Jeep got cheap (hey it rhymes) with the 2012 an on WK2 by eliminating that 50 cent piece of plastic (gotta love decontenting). I bought one for my then 2012 Overland and carried it over to my 2014 Summit. It keeps the vehicle jack from chipping the paint off the lift points and causing rust.
