Re: What options on your GC did you discover weeks after?

The spare tire cover has a hook to keep the cover up.
There is a compartment above the glovebox to store your manuals and car papers.
The dashboard dimmer has a position to drive with lights on , without dimming tha NAV.
The auto dimming main / high beam works great.

Maybe no news to you, but these things I found out after a while.

Re: What options on your GC did you discover weeks after?

Have you discovered the third button on your steering wheel controls? I just found these between the up and down volume controls on the steering wheel, and the up and down select buttons on the other side as well.

Does this option work for both sexes?

Re: What options on your GC did you discover weeks after?

I only recently found out that the trunk won't work with the automatic open button if the car is not in park. I found this extremely awesome, I was always wondering what would happen if I accidentally opened it (key fob is always in my pocket) while driving. Then I tried to do it whilst I was in D but holding the break so a friend could get his bag from the trunk and it wouldn't open. Was soooo happy. I know it sounds really silly but this is something I found absolutely wonderful!

I also love the ability to jump between metric and english units. I also didn't know I could take stuff off my USB and save it into my jeep's hard drive (I usually never opt for options, this is the first car I've gone fully loaded on) so all this new technology that I was like "eh isn't anything special" is slowly turning into "holy smokes, how did I live without it?".

There are many other awesome features but the main ones I love have already been mentioned.

Still looking for that pixie button though...

Discovered months after...the remote start turns on the driver's side seat heater and the rear defroster in cold weather (didn't look to see if it also put the climate control on the windshield defroster).

Re: What options on your GC did you discover weeks after?

Just discovered that the "lock" button on the tailgate is also an unlock button if the fob is in proximity. Apparently I had not read the manual correctly.

Bottom line: I used to have to fish for the fob when I walked up to the back of the locked Jeep - now I know better.

Re: What options on your GC did you discover weeks after?

Extremely minor, but I just noticed, when I press in on the stalk to activate the washers but the wipers are off, then the fluid starts squirting but there is about a second and a half delay before the wipers kick in and start wiping. This is assumedly to give the washers a chance to get the glass wet. Any other vehicle I've owned, the wipers start wiping right away.

Yeh. I never understood why the wiper went before the fluid. It really bothered me as imagined the microscopic scratches being dug in as I watched.

I knew the liftgate wouldn't open while driving down the hwy but learned thar the gas door will if you accidentally hit the button. All set for in-flight fueling.

I have accidentally hit the fuel door button with my knee when climbing into the vehicle. I'm more careful now.
