Thanks.
I was under impression that battery was under one seat in said hole, and the other side had all the stuff for QL air Suspension if eqquiped, and if not equipped then it was empty. Perfect spot for second battery

I thought the battery was under the passenger seat. I looked once and saw the covered hole there, but I also was unable to get it open to take a look inside. I was afraid I was going to break something if I pulled too hard on the carpeted "lid". I've never looked under the driver's side.

I don't know for sure but I would think people were accidently rolling down the windows and flooding the car during a rainstorm. Or maybe it was interfering with other electronics???

Re: What options on your GC did you discover weeks after?

I havent had a chance to read through every page of this post yet, but one thing I noticed with remote start in the winter. We all know it turns on the heat, heated seats, etc to try to get everything warm before u get in. But have you noticed this...

I leave my climate control on auto mode (72 degrees) and whenever I remote start in the cold, when I open the door the blower is going full blast then immediately goes back down to auto mode once I am in the jeep. Similar to how it wont start blowing hard until it knows it has warm air. But thought that was cool that it is pumping out air full blast before u get in, but once you get in, everything comes back to normal.

At least I think thats what is going on

Re: What options on your GC did you discover weeks after?

The state-aware door locks are new for me. All of my previous Jeeps would blindly actuate the door locks/solenoids when a switch or the fob was used. In the WK2 they only actuate when they need to. Very nice.

Re: What options on your GC did you discover weeks after?

I just noticed the amber lights above the mirror adjustment selection switch. The right or left side light activates when you press the corresponding side of the switch and it stays on for about thirty seconds.

Re: What options on your GC did you discover weeks after?

Not sure I would call this an "option" but if you hit the hazard lights when car is running in remote start mode, the car automatically shuts off. (found this out when I was trying to turn off heated steering while and tapped the wrong button)

The slots between the components on the dashboard stack are great places to stick grocery lists, dry cleaner receipts, lottery tickets and notes.

Being able to lock the car while it is idling using the door handle buttons is sweet for daycare drop-offs...

tow-haul button function was a huge pleasant surprise once I bought the car and read the manual.. Thought I'd be manually shifting in the mountains.
