Pat,

On a 2013 Overland 4x4 with 5.7L V8 Hemi, having Affiliate Rewards, are you saying a dealer can sell for Invoice - $880 (AR) - $800 (meeting quota) - $1000 (Hemi) and the dealer makes a profit?

Yes, if a dealer agrees to 13% off of MSRP and you go in with a valid AR number shouldn't the price be lower? If the dealer didn't ask if you are a member of Tread Lightly or qualify for AR thru your employer then it's an additional rebate/discount.

Now if the dealer asks all of the right questions then it's a different story. If the dealer asks and discloses that they are using it to get to your price then there should be no issues. My motto "Disclose early and disclose often".

Yep, if invoice is $44000.

$44,000 X 2%=$880 this is money dealer gets back for honoring AR programs.

holdback amount on a Jeep with a 44K invoice is $1320. So net before quota is $42680

keep in mind any rebates come back to us from Chrysler. We don't lose the $880 or the $1000 hemi bonus cash.

Using this example:

$44000-$880-$800=$42320+$880(we get the AR money back)=43200-42680=$520 total profit. Plus there is some other money back that has to be used for advertising.

So lets say you bought the GC for net after everything(quota/AR rebate) but before 1000 v8 bonus rebate.

42680+880+800=44360-42680(Net)=1680 total profit

^ that's one thing folks don't get about me. Sure I want you to buy from me, that's how I make my living. At the same time, I know that it's not possible for a lot of folks. But if I can give info that will help someone with their purchase and that info makes for a better experience then I have done what I set out to do.

Ahh makes sense now. Thanks for clarifying. I stand corrected. I guess knowing the rebates is a must!

Got my 12 Altitude 1500 below invoice. Found the model online outside my area at below invoice, printed it off, went to a local dealer. Told them I want this.model with these features for this price or I will drive to that other dealership Theuly went on their database, found my Jeep and gave it for the 1500 below invoice. do your research first then go

Use simpler math:

2012 Overland Summit 5.7, 4x4, all options

$50,120 MSRP
$42,777 Sales Price (14.66% off) on 9/7/12 (includes bonus cash, rebates, dealer discounts, etc)
$36,000 Trade in value (another 15.85% off Sale Price) on 9/27/12 with 1400 miles on it

So get 29% off MSRP right from the start, you will feel better! lol

I SHOULD be shooting for actual net price and letting the dealers profit strctly come from the AR kick back and Quota bonus?

On a side note, how much would it cost to order a GC from you and have it shipped to San Diego?
