I must be doing something wrong. "Access.org" is not coming up, but something called "accessnow.org" does. Its some kind of "global digital freedom" group: https://www.accessnow.org/ Not sure this is it.

What did I miss?

Either way, a great deal!

The thing is, I have zero plans to do any offroading.

Thats why I'm thinking the X5 still gives the driving position of an SUV but still handles more like a sporty car.

My first ever car was a '98 grand cherokee laredo and I love that thing with its 4.0 I6, but it wasnt the most stable thing on the highway or on turns.

I'm sure the new ones are much improved, but I doubt they compare to the X5's handling and power from the I6.

I will need to test drive both.
You won't be happy with the X5, its a cool SUV but it will cost and arm and a leg for repairs and parts. Plus the Jeep is much more fun.
As far as the price, you just need to do some research on what they are selling for in the area and be really firm at the dealership. If you are a good buyer they will do it for you. I bought my 2012 Overland, fully loaded, off the showroom floor. The sticker was $47,980 and I got is $40K out the door. Took some time but got it done. It helps to go on sites like Truecar.com or KBB.com

Re: What should my final price be for a 2014 V6 overland?

Overland is IMHO probably the best value on the market:
- cooled/headed front seats - standard
- heated read seats - standard
- heated steering wheel
- NAV - standard
- backup camera - standard
- power everything inclidng liftgate - standard
- UConnect (eventhough it is bugy) is light years ahead of anything
- BiXenon headlights - standard
- 8 speed transmission with sport mode and paddle shifters - standard
- select terrain - standard on 4WD vehicle
- air suspension - standard
- technology package with blind spot monitoring and adaptive cruise is still at $1500
- wood inserts and leather dash - standard
- LED DRL - standard

The list goes and goes and goes ... Try getting this on BMW and you will end up with 80K vehicle. Maybe because there is a redesign X5 coming up this year you might be able to get a better deal on the older model but still ...

GC Is Jeep's flagship and the really did a fantastic job going all the way and pulling all the stops to put everything that they had into that truck.

For a 2014 Overland V6 I would want to be around $42,500. If you can get anywhere near that you got a good deal.

My chrome inserts in the grill will be installed next week as well as my break in oil change,I'm at 1000 miles after a month and a half of having the vehicle so I'll wait about another 500 miles. I have my own synthetic oil I'll bring as well as the oil filter so it should go quickly.
Good plan, what type of synthetic oil and filter do you use BTW?

Mobile 1 full synthetic and a mopar oil filter specifically for this vehicle with the V8. I only have 1050 miles on my car since I picked it up June 30th so I'm going to wait till about 1500-1800 to get that first oil change. The oil I'll find on sale I'm sure and the oil filter with the mopar parts number on it I got for 5 bucks so I bought a few of them.

Walmart has that oil cheap. I bought 3 5-gallon jugs of it and that's good for 2 oil changes plus give me a little extra if I ever need to add. Walmart has the Mopar filter for the 5.7L V8 too, also at a good price, for anyone that hasn't already stocked up!

Well at least the oil should be fine I already have the filters so they shouldn't charger much to do the oil change.
