Like many others in the other thread, I received my $150 appreciation certificate, but don't really have any specific item in mind to use it on. What are others buying with the certificate?
You could always stock up on air filters, oil filters, cabin filters and wiper blades those are things you know you will need at some point. Maybe a set of slush mats or even an extra set of the carpeted mats, those are pricey if i remember right.
I'm going with new jeep logo valve stem caps, black grand cherokee license plates for the front and back and the stainless steel pedal cover kit. In place of the pedal kit I may get one of the skid plates. Not sure about that part yet.
Mine was for $200 and they apologized for all the recalls. Also I'm trying to spend it on oil changes and service stuff since I don't need accessories for mine since its a lease.
My $200 is going towards chrome tow hooks. Not that my wife's GK has ever touched a blade of grass...but they look good and just in case I sneak it off road at some point.
Since I already have slush mats and mud flaps I'm just thinking maintenance: wipers, air/cabin/oil filters.
The other thing that I was thinking about was running board. Don't like the look of them but they are useful for getting to the stuff that I carry on the roof - bike/cargo/kayaks and skis in the winter.
We haven't had any mail since Wednesday so I guess it's still a big "maybe" about whether or not the like me enough to provide this "gift"....MaxCare Lifetime and all recalls applied. I even patronize the dealer much of the time for getting my "earl" changed if that's more convenient than the independent folks we often use for that kind of thing...
Has it been confirmed that the only one's getting the gift is if you had the recalls done. I brought my car in for inspection and there were two recalls, but one they didn't have the parts for and the other was the visor one that I passed on, so no gift?
Mine is for $200 on Mopar brand parts and accessories, NOT labor. SILVERMAX above is on to something with his list, though I might choose a cargo mat plus anything else that I can squeeze in the amount provided.
The navigation map update is $149, so I'm considering that as there has been quite a few major road additions and changes since the maps in my 2011 JGC were loaded ( probably 2010 mapping)
So I spoke to the dealer and he said, you have to have a least 3 recalls to receive a check. I have only two. I asked him if there was another recall on my 2012 Overland and he said no. We laughed and I said, I bet this is the first time you ever heard someone complain that there is no recalls for their Jeep....
I just got n email from Jeep Research about my recent service appointment. The email letter is from President and CEO, Mopar Service, Parts and Customer Care.
Does anyone know if this might be connected to the gift certificates from Mopar?
I called Just for Jeeps. You place your order online, in the comments you make a note that you'll be sending them your certificate, then you mail them your certificate and reference your order number.
They'll credit you back once they receive the certificate.
You can't enter the certificate online because the dealerships / vendors have to mail in the certificates that they honor so that they can be reimbursed.
