What's up with the wheel options for 2014?

The wheel options are horrible. 2 tone wheels are totally cheesy looking and the Summit wheels look more like they belong on a car than an off road machine. The Overland 20" wheels would look great in brushed aluminum but they totally ruined them with the mineral gray accents. The wheel choices and the excessive use of chrome in the Summit may be a deal breaker for me. I also think that copper trim looks very cheesy but at least you aren't forced to take it.

I'm loving the 20" OL wheels - only ones I like out the bunch. Good thing I'm getting an OL or a loaded Limited with those wheels, though.

Of course I haven't seen the Summit wheels in person, but I think its a refreshing change to go with that style wheel on the Summit. I might be a bit biased since I have a Summit on order and hope the wheels look even better in person than in the photos.

Re: What's up with the wheel options for 2014?

i agree...the summit wheels are horrendous looking. (no offense, bobwk2). The overland 20s aren't bad, but I think I'd still swap out with 11-13 if I were buying a '14.

The Summit isn't being marketed to the "off road" crowd...it's a luxury offering, just like the SRT is a performance offering. I'd love to have those wheels instead of the very nice, but somewhat boring MY12 Summit wheels I have...

Different strokes.

Re: What's up with the wheel options for 2014?

I don't particularly like the 20s on the Overland. But, with the ORII package it looks like I get the Limited's 18 wheels. I like them a whole lot better.

I wonder how many wheel choices they would need to make everybody happy. Maybe when 3D printing is perfected we'll be able to design our own and the manufacturer can "print" them out just in time to install them.

Re: What's up with the wheel options for 2014?

Like Jim said "different strokes" I like the wheels on the Overland, but would want to see them once the 14's make it to my dealer
