You've really got it looking nice now. It's nice too see the bikes from my generation still on the road. My Nighthawk is currently suffering from a slow leaking tank from corrosion on the bottom seam. Also some of the plastic covers are getting a bit brittle. I scour eBay once in a while trying to source new parts, but most are in worse shape than what I've got. I don't have the heart to get rid of it though even when my local Ducati dealer offered a fair price for it. It's surprisingly comfortable to ride and takes me back to my youth so I'm going to try to keep it on the road. Thanks for sharing your Nighthawk.

Well, I'm in my mid-40's so it's almost my generation, too. I'm old enough to remember the Goldwing going from a naked 4 cylinder bike with aftermarket cases to a full dresser with a flat 6. A 79 GW was actually my second option when I bought the Nighthawk. However, it had a bad starter and needed front a rear brakes and the guy selling it wanted 3 times the price I got the NH for. I also didn't like the stock seat on the older Wing (it has a flatter King/Queen seat, unlike the Nighthawk front saddle.

At any rate, you'll probably never find a replacement for the right side cover for that bike. When they appear, they go fast since they get broken or lost a lot due to being removed to access the battery.

Tanks are hit or miss. I found a second take that I did a quickie restore on to use while the original tanks was being repainted. However, I had to do so much work even for a quick job, it was a real hassle.

I've grease the male studs on the side cover to keep the tension on them to a minimum when I have to remove it and am very conscious of it age while removing it as well. I tried the tank coating last year and my leak went from a slow drip to more of a seeping leak. It'll have to do for now. Maybe someday I'll send it off to someone that can fix it properly, but for now I'm going to keep on riding it as is. Part of the patina I guess.

I don't know why everyone hates on minivans...I love ours!

Besides my 2012 GC Limited, I have a 2014 Wrangler Unlimited and my wife's 2015 Toyota Sienna XLE Premium AWD. We got a lot of crap from friends and family for buying a minivan at 29, but once they sit in it and see all of the features, they love it. The most comfortable 4,000 mile road trip I've ever taken was behind the wheel of my Sienna.

Because at the front of every traffic jam....there's a minivan in the passing lane.

Unless they're running out to buy a minivan after seeing yours im sure they're just being nice. It's great that you enjoy it but It's not something we'd ever consider.

Actually, two of our friends did go out and buy minivans shortly after riding in/driving ours. Obviously they are not for everyone, just as many people hate SUVs or sedans for that matter. It suits our needs, for now. When our kids are older, we'll more than likely get something else.

Sidenote, but around here, it's almost always a Prius up at the front tying everyone up. Especially once the speed limit gets above 65. It's almost like people that drive them are programmed not to break 55.

That said, I've driven minivans, a few of them. I still hate them.

I've got a 98 mustang gt as well. Are those the cobra headlights you've got? Is it a stock bumper other than the chin spoiler? Lowered perhaps? Looks very sleek bud. I really need to change my lights and wheels they make the car look kinda dated. Will add some pics in a bit
