Wheel adapters on my 2014 GC Overland

Hey everyone. New Jeep Owner here!. I have a question about my wheels I had on my car that I want to put on my Grand Cherokee Overland. The wheels are 22x8.5, 5 x 114.3, +38 offset. I know the my GC runs a 20x8, 5 x 127 +56 offset. So I know I will need adapters. My questions is how much will my new wheel stick out after I put the 15mm adapter on. I dont want it to look like roller skates but alittle poke out won't be bad. I'm real bad with determining the math lol. Any help would be appreciated!

Re: Wheel adapters on my 2014 GC Overland

New wheels: With a 15 mm adapter, your effective offset will be +23 mm (38 - 15)

Stock wheel offset: +56 mm

Each wheel will stick out 33 mm more (56 - 23). That is a lot.

Personal preference: Wheels should at most be flush with the fender. When they stick out, even just a little, it looks like you are trying too hard.

It really is personal preference Take a look at this jeep, which is running stock rims with 1.25" spacers (roughly equivalent to 33 mm). I think it looks really good, just a tad more aggressive than stock but still sane enough to look like they belong:
