What I do know is, I go into Boston a lot, I park in public, private hotel garages, I also park around the Fenway area and the North End. Over the years I've seen many vehicles loose their rims and tires. So it's not a matter of living in a particular place. I've also seen vehicles up at Hampton Beach NH missing wheels but I've never lost any wheels. I have had mine tampered with but never lost a single one.

Coincidence or possibly a special anti theft ghost watches over my cars? On 2nd thought, I'ts probably because there is somebody parked near me who don't have wheel locks, With that, I'll say thanks to those who don't use them
A friend parked his BMW 535 i in NYC parking garage. When he got home he notice that his spare was missing.

Re: wheel locks?

I don't have them, but this thread served as a good reminder to get some.

I've never had wheels stolen, but there is truth to the notion that you don't need to employ impenetrable security, just better security than the guy who's parked next to you. Wheel locks can be circumvented, but that's most likely to happen when a thief has an "order" for your wheels. Otherwise, he'll move on to an easier target.

There's another thread worth looking at which has which wheel locks people are going with and another popular brand for a good price was gorilla wheel locks I believe. Can get a full set for like 40 dollars

Gorilla does not list an application for the GC, but their sets (of four) are all under $20 on Amazon.com. If anyone here knows of a Gorilla set that will work, please share that info. Thanks!

Added note: It sounds like you might be referring to their "System," which includes 20 wheel locks . . . those are in the $40 range.

Re: wheel locks?

FYI, the OEM Mopars will stick out a little

Wheel locks gives me a small piece of mind, it's to deter the lazy criminal looking for a quick score. Not for ones who is determined to steal your wheels and have their own specialized tools. The collar around the locks does help if they have clamps/pliers, doesn't give them grip.

Re: wheel locks?

Negotiating with Chrysler. I believe they will take good care of me on this, but I did have 32 straight days in the shop, just for that visit. QL is not the same in MB as it is in the JGC. Talked with Continental engineer from Germany during his visit. Interesting conversation regarding the QL.

Re: wheel locks?

Get the wheel locks, you might not live in a bad area but you will eventually have to go to one .. make the other guy the easy target, not you..if you buy them at the dealer, they install them for free..if anyone is interested, I have an older MOPAR set from a 2008 Jeep Wrangler that my brother-in-law traded in..the lock has some rust on it but the nuts look good .. let me know if you are interested in them for cheap ..

Re: wheel locks?

Better to have it and never need it, than to need it and not have it.
