Re: wheel locks?

I didnt even ask for the wheel locks for my new 2012 overland. My dealership installs and includes them with every car they sell. The dealership is not located in a bad area but they have had a recent string of thefts where the wheels and tires were taken off cars in their lot overnight.

Re: wheel locks?

Have had wheel locks on every car since the early 90's.
Came standard with my Overland.

Wheel locks gives me a small piece of mind, it's to deter the lazy criminal looking for a quick score. Not for ones who is determined to steal your wheels and have their own specialized tools. The collar around the locks does help if they have clamps/pliers, doesn't give them grip.

That pic is awesome. So glad I ordered the 20's. Can't wait til my jeep comes in.

Re: wheel locks?

Will part # 82212564 fit my 2014 Limited with 20" wheels?

Jeep Grand Cherokee Wheel Locks - Mopar Item # 82212564

I saw in a thread that p# 82212567 are a better fit as they are smaller and dont stick out - can anyone confirm these will fit my wheels?

Thanks in advance

The 82212564 will fit but they look like hell don't know about the 82212567 but they look equally as bad . I tried about 4 different sets last year and settled on the Gorilla 96641C because they match the standard lug the best. 82212564 maybe a little more secure because they have that ring that spins at the top but they look terrible. I am just trying to deter the casual thief, the professional types will get them no matter what you have on there. 96641C looks pretty good and you can get them in black also if you have black wheels. I have a set of 82212564 collecting dust I could not get rid of lol. I compared a few a while ago if you want to take a look, hope that helps.

Alternative wheel locks.

My 14 overland came with the locks. My 11 overland did not. I didn't pay extra for them so I didn't complain about it.

I don't like the look tho and where I live there is very little crime so I don't see the need for them.

How do I get them off the lugnut?
