WHERE ARE THEY IN TRANSIT ? '0' in 200 miles.

I have not been able to "go see" a 2016 G. C. of any flavor, and have not been able to find any "online" in the Northwest - ALL in transit ! Still . So yea I am overly anxious to get behind the wheel of the flavor that I am interested in .

That would be the 75th Laredo 4X4 with Off Road Adv. 1, but even a Regular Laredo E with the Terrain Select would do for a tester . . . (still can't get over the fact that it costs us $2000 for A Drivers side Power Seat . . . total B.S.)

But even these are "in transit" around my neck of the woods (200 mile radius from Spokane, WA. !

Anyone have any Dealer Websites - doesn't matter where - or one of those independent Reviewers websites where they show in HD the dealer Jeep outside in a review of it ? I follow about 8 different ones and NO reviews yet !

Jeep.com has the build & price Up & Running on the 75th models. I was hoping for, but disappointed that the Off Road Adv. 1 package, or anywhere else, NOT offering the ability to get a 17" RIM and All Terrain tires for Much Better Off Road Ability ! Milos mentioned the 17" rims on the Wrangler "should" fit with no issues, But getting the dealer to do that, well ? ? ? Will cross that bridge Before I get to it by asking ahead of time. Maybe I can use it as a bargaining chip ! ?

Well that's it . . . ANY Photos or Video of a 75th would be GRRRREATE !

If that's what you want, why not just order it exactly configured to your specifications?

17" wheels are not comfortably compatible with the heavy duty brake systems (potential rubbing) and are only offered on the lowest Laredo trim package.

AFAIK, there have already been photos posted of the 75th edition.

Well Jim holy cow that was the fastest response time ever seen or better said, sight untouched (by me), WOW!
And that is exactly what I will be doing ! But who buys anything sight unseen?
Certainly not me ! Unfortunately I an Too Damned Picky for my own good ! Musta been born with a toothpick in my mouth ? One of the local dealers has (unofficial) use of a hilly dirt/gravel/grass area across the street that I previously tested both a 2015 G.C. Laredo & Cherokee Trailhawk last year ! With the New PUG stuff and Aluminum underpinnings, and of course the nicer shifter I would be "amiss" to not give it a good going' over ! No?

Fly', outside of the "mystical shifter" that everyone is all-a-twitter about and the PUG V6 enhancement, there's not a whole lot different to see and feel between the MY15 and the MY16. Incremental improvements, etc. So go look at what they got, do a test drive to confirm you like the trim level(s) you're considering and then order what you want to buy.

Jim, with total respect, I must disagree on Your outlook on this ! I am me and you are you, simple as that.
AND now more "rumors?" of a 2017 TRAILHAWK as the new model ? ? To me, I've been seeing this 75th with the Off Road Adv. 1 as "my Trailhawk" ! THAT would be Outstanding ! IF it were NOT overly "Techied-Up," had the Regular suspension (no air lift accept as an option), maybe even a mild 1" lift and was more in line with the LAREDO E or F (i.e. affordable !).

So, as I apparently enjoy beating myself profusely about the head I may just wait till near the end of the 2016 75th run, pull the trigger (buy) or IF the "rumors" pan out to be true by then, WAIT for an Early 2017 TH G.C. !

UGH, don't ya just love hearing me think out loud so you all can mock me ?
Oh, ps; I LIKE the looks of the new shifter & have no doubts that it will perform very well ! But hey some would rather it be a tiny knob so their knees don't keep knocking into it ! ? :slap fight:

Still hoping someone offers up some dealers or dealer lot photos of a 75th Laredo !

Re: WHERE ARE THEY IN TRANSIT ? '0' in 200 miles.

Nobody is mocking you.

And the 2017 Trailhawk is not a "rumor"...it's insider information
2017 Grand Cherokee (includes WK2Jeeps.com exclusive advance info)

Order banks open - June 2016
Production startup - July 2016
Sales launch - September 2016
7th model year for the 4th generation Grand Cherokee
Laredo, Limited, Overland, Summit and SRT (6.4L) models continue
New Trailhawk model (with 3.0L CRD, 3.6L and 5.7L engine options)
Same drivetrains as 2016 models
New Fourth-generation Uconnect systems with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto™
There's nothing wrong with you waiting until the next model year if that's what you prefer. My suggestion for you to order was based on what seemed like a need to "get 'er done" from what you had been writing. That's all.

Re: WHERE ARE THEY IN TRANSIT ? '0' in 200 miles.

There are several 2016s on the lot around here, so they exist. Keep looking for the vehicles that have things that you want..

When I was getting ready to order my '14, I wanted to see the Overland frost/brown interior before I ordered it.. ended up finding a blue V6 to eyeball - not what I wanted - but it had the interior I wanted to see.

slight side issue: Wife said "this is awesome, just buy this one!" uh, no..

The 'shifter change' has some positives and negatives, we probably don't want to litigate that here..

Jim . . . No harm no foul. Again according to Milous in a response to me via my previous topic, the measurements he gave me and his statement all led (lead) me to believe that IF I were able to acquire the 17" 75th RIMS off the Wrangler to replace the standard 18" RIMS on the 75th G.C. LAREDO F - they should fit just fine without needing a spacer or any other adjustments ! IF this is no longer true I wish someone could ask ! ? Why those rims ? Because they look very similar and with better tire depth (say 70 or 75) their off road worthiness is much better ! And as you said (and I did not know) the LAREDO has the space - but we knew that because the regular Laredo comes standard with 17's.

I have not seen any photos of this Laredo "in the wild". Perhaps you could direct me to where.

THAT IS WHAT I GET FOR NOT CHECKING THE MILOUS SITE MORE OFTEN ! THANKS

WELL WHEN I DO FINALLY GET OFF THE FENCE I WILL BE SURE TO POST THE PICTURES OF IT OUT IN THE WILD . . .

ps; does the insider have any information as to what trim level this trail hawk will be based off ? I am hoping Laredo E or F so that the buyer can Option / Package as he/she chooses ! ! !

If you're going with the Laredo-based 75th Anniversary package and don't have the factory tow package, you will likely be fine with the 17" wheels you like as Milous (who is "the" expert) mentioned to you.
-----

On the options comment relative to Laredo in your next post about Trailhawk, the options available are trim-level "limited"...there's a lot of stuff you cannot get on the Laredo E, for example. More available on the Limited trim. Even more on the Overland trim level. And there are some thing that are exclusive to either Summit or SRT. Most options are also not available individually...you have to pick and choose "packages" of options. That's the nature of the new car business these days. Back when my dad was ordering cars in the 1960s and early 1970s, you could pretty much build something "a la carté" with a menu of nearly anything available. Those days are, well..."back in the day"...
