Re: Where Is Your Trashbag?

My jeep is old and made to drive in the woods, mud, etc, plus I have 2 young kids. Garbage is the norm in my family.

Or one of those fancy stainless steel burning cages. Oh, I guess you would need the discontinued flipper window to vent the burning cage.

Re: Where Is Your Trashbag?

GM used to have trash receptacles that attached to the right kick panel. In my Monte the side was carpeted to match the bottom of the doors. It was useful, and hardly noticeable. It had a flip top.

No eating or drinking in the new Jeep for now either. Except Water.

It's really a PITA. But the Jeep or any car gets so trashed when you allow yourself and others to do it. Lettuce stuck between seats. Coffee stains. It just gets gross pretty quick.

I spilled a full cup of coffee in my old 2002 GC drivers seat just before I sold it. I picked it up by the lid and it popped off. Cleaned up in a snap, but I'd be a mess if that happened in this new Jeep. Thank goodness for leather seats. That's another reason I don't want the ventilated seats as nice as they would be. Eventually we'll spill something on them (once the rule is lifted).

We'll break the rule eventually.

My wifes VW CC is a 2011 and we still kept the rule enforced. But we tend not to live in her car for the weekends. So it's a lot easier. Her seats do have the ventilated holes in them. Her car still looks like brand new inside and out with 40K.

Re: Where Is Your Trashbag?

If you spill coffee on a ventilated seat it just disappears. Since they are designed to suck air in, setting it on high really dries them quickly. When you get around to it you can dry the carpet under the seat.

You must keep in mind that you may destroy some electronics, but a driver with no coffee is like a HEMI with no gas.

A ventilated seat is like having a Shag Rug in the Kitchen (if you eat and drink in it).

We still drink coffee, we just have to plan ahead. Or god forbid sit down in the coffee shop and drink it It is a pain. We'll see how long it lasts.

Re: Where Is Your Trashbag?

Am I to clean?

We brouhgt my Father in law out to eat and on the way home he asked if we could stop so he could get some scratch tickets. Ok, he gets back in the Jeep and starts scratching the tickets. I ask him, "what are you doing with the stuff your scratching off"? He says, "I'm putting it on the floor." I was like... "save the rest till you get home, I just vacuumed".
Of course the wife gave me a dirty look and I told her when we got home that when she starts vacuuming the Jeep then her Father can put his garbage on the floor.
