No eating or drinking in the new Jeep for now either. Except Water.
It's really a PITA. But the Jeep or any car gets so trashed when you allow yourself and others to do it. Lettuce stuck between seats. Coffee stains. It just gets gross pretty quick.
I spilled a full cup of coffee in my old 2002 GC drivers seat just before I sold it. I picked it up by the lid and it popped off. Cleaned up in a snap, but I'd be a mess if that happened in this new Jeep. Thank goodness for leather seats. That's another reason I don't want the ventilated seats as nice as they would be. Eventually we'll spill something on them (once the rule is lifted).
We'll break the rule eventually.
My wifes VW CC is a 2011 and we still kept the rule enforced. But we tend not to live in her car for the weekends. So it's a lot easier. Her seats do have the ventilated holes in them. Her car still looks like brand new inside and out with 40K.
