Re: Where Is Your Trashbag?

I don't trust those thinner than paper bags with a now suspended gallon of milk.
I've had more of those stupid bags rip. I suppose I could hang it in one of those cloth grocery bags.

I have done the back seat floor. But my seat is forward and it's always one gallon. And there is always sand.

We do wipe the jug, but once in a while you miss a grain. It only takes one grain.

My GC came with a rear cargo net. Works for all manner of domestic purchases, including milk gallons and up to three grocery bags mounted longways or maybe four side to side.

What's with the sand?

Re: Where Is Your Trashbag?

I can't believe that the 600+ page owner's manual didn't cover getting milk home from the store.Maybe Scott can set up a special section of the Jeep Garage to investigate this dilemma.

If Congress wasn't so busy with their non-negotiations I'd ask for an investigation.

Re: Where Is Your Trashbag?

I get milk double bagged, and hanging from the hooks in the cargo area, it sits on the deck, easy peasy.

No need for any investigation. Jeep customer service sent me a recall notice addressing this issue. No need to bring the vehicle in as this is a customer based fix. Their preferred resolution is for us to arrange home milk delivery. There was also a mention of the advantages of glass bottles over waxy cardboard.

This notice doesn't address the sand on the floor, but there will be additional updates so I would expect to see something on this later on. My money is on them suggesting a broom or vacuum. Only time will tell.

One thing this thread proves...Jeeps are great vehicles for whatever you want to do...from grocery shopping, to hauling the kids around , to bringing man's best friends out to the hunting grounds. Jeeps will do it all....no matter what we do with the trash!

I don't think it suspends in the air. I believe the gallon will sit on the floor without issue. Haven't tested or check though.

I wonder if I am in the minority/majority with mine being mostly a tarmac queen.

Judging from the jeeps I see around the metroplex, I think you are in the majority by about 80/20. I see a few when I go camping but not that many.
