Re: White gold

Alright guys enough with the rump ranger remarks. I ordered my new Overland in this color. It matches the three different colors of gold on my 40ft. diesel motorhome. That's where this jeep will be hooked behind for most of it's long distance travels.

Once it gets from Georgia to 1500 miles west it will be like my current Cherokee. On the trails and back roads in Yellowstone, Glacier, Custer and other assorted national parks, as well as parts of Colorado and other fun places.

I was actually waiting on this color to become available before I ordered.

Whether anyone else likes it or not moosehead doesn't matter. Your the one writing the check and looking at it every day. At least I finally have a VIN# and D1 status.

Re: White gold

I'm actually warming to this color. I still think I am set on green though...just because there won't be 20 of them in every parking lot.
Black - Too hard to keep nice. If I had the kinda time to keep it looking halfway decent I probably wouldn't have the money to pay for it.

Silver - Looks like a rental.
White - ^^^^^
Red - A little too flashy for my tastes...although they 3 or 4 red ones at my dealer do look nice.
Gold - Now that Buick and Cadillac have finally moved away from it, starting to look good again.
Blackberry - or purpleblack...too dark, same problems as black.
Grey - I love both greys...but I already have one grey car, and it seems every other BMW, Benz and Audi I see these days is grey...like the new silver or something.
Green - Like 94ish soccer mom mobile...but its been dead long enough to be cool again.

You should check out Dark Charcoal. This is what I ordered. I think it is gorgeous.

I also liked green but couldn't see it on a car and I think it is "unusual" enough to make a resale more difficult (unless you trade-in).

Have you seen the green. It is also very dark, almost black. I share your assessment of colors, but surprisingly I am leaning toward white mainly because I have eliminated everything else. I'm curious to see the gold - it could be nice, but I'm not sure that I can get past my perception that you must belong to AARP to own a gold vehicle.

Re: White gold

You gotta be pimp to be able to pull off the White Gold.

+1 Green is definitely darker, but IMO it would look good with an AT kit and some black rims.

Re: White gold

I'm thinking tint and maybe powdercoat the wheels a medium gray would be beer and skittles.
Yeah the green is dark, but I have a green denali thats nearly the same color and it doesn't seem to swirl much, and I hardly ever wash it. I love the charcoal too, definetly a hard decision. I've never sold a car private party I always trade them in so not too concerned with resale...if I was too concerned with residual I probably would be shopping for something else.

The white gold also has more silver than yellow in it, so I think it looks fresher than that Oldsmobile gold, and it pops more than the GM Gold mist metallic, or Silver Birch.
