White Gold popularity and a few new color questions

I have never seen WG in person, but I am a little tired of dark cars and looking to lighten up. I actually really like the Stone White and White Gold, but WG seems somewhat unpopular. Is it not very nice in person? What interior looks best with it?

Also...will Winter Chill be a "baby blue" or a silver with hint of blue? I don't like baby blue, but I like blue -grays and silver blues!

Maximum Steel...is this Dark Charcoals replacement or more of a silver/steel color?
Thanks!!

Flashy,

I have seen several white gold JGC's on dealer lots. I would call it a champagne color. IMO it is not a very 'deep' color, if you know what i mean. Kind of lacks luster. That being said...it is light alternative to stark white.

Re: White Gold popularity and a few new color questions

I've also seen several white golds on lots. Also saw one yesterday getting gas when driving past a gas station.

Came across a new 2012 with white gold at a nearby dealership a couple weeks ago. Saw on the website that it had the off road package so I went to take a look at the skid plates. It's the one and only WK2 I've ever seen on a lot that had the OR package. None of the dealers seem to ever order the OR package around here.

I think white gold is a very good looking color, but I wouldn't get one because it's just not 'me'.

According to the color guide, Maximum Steel will be a dark color.

From different angles the metallic "pops". Very nice. Our Overland has light interior.

Re: White Gold popularity and a few new color questions

I think the white gold is a very nice color too. When deciding what color to get mine in, i was actually going between the stone white, bright silver, and white gold. I like the lighter colors also.

It's hard to say which interior color would look best with white gold. you could go either way, black or light frost beige. I think they would both look equally as nice with the white gold

Re: White Gold popularity and a few new color questions

My dealer was joking about how hard it is to sell the WG's and would give me a crazy good deal it I took one of the three they had. I don't think the color is all that bad, but for some reason, it just doesn't work well with any of the interiors.

Was Dark Charcoal not popular? Even though I am trying to get a light car this time, I really liked that color

What is surprising is how good the Saddle/Black interior looks with the White Gold. I wouldn't have suspected it until I saw it.

Is there a picture or did you see it in person?

Re: White Gold popularity and a few new color questions

I think the White Gold looks terrible, but I hate all Gold/Champagne colored vehicles. The Dark Charcoal is a great color. I would have got it, but they stopped offering it for 2012. Overall, I'm very happy with my Min Grey.

I have WG with beige/black on my Ltd. First choice was inferno red. Wife shot that down. I like white, but more of a snow white than the ivory of the JGC, so I got WG. The dealer had 85 GC's in stock, but no WG. When my order came in the dealer's jaw dropped and he ordered several WG for stock. It is quite metallic, so on a sunny day I get people stopping me in parking lots telling me how much they liked it. Ah, if I was only single again and 35 years younger.
