White/grey edges painted black

I will be receiving my 2012 Overland 4x4 in silver metallic with black interior and all the skid plates added by accessories in just about 10 days it is in customs (Dominican Republic).

I read somewhere that there was a person who painted in some way the edge of the seats (from white/grey) to black.
I really want to do this because I dont like the black seating with the white/grey edging.

I read one person did it with a sharpie pen and another with shoe cleaner.
What are your thoughts on how can this be done?
