Re: Who "carries" in their Jeep?

In theory a responsible gun owner avoids road rage and using their firearm at all costs. Anyone with the proper training isn't going to draw just because you cut them off, but unfortunatly we have a lot of morons that carry (a lot of them illegally) so just keep your eyes open. In all reality it is pretty difficult to shoot from moving car to moving car accuratly.

In Utah anyone car carry loaded in their car, open carry with 2 mechanical movements required to fire and of course the concealed permit.

Personally I don't own guns and think they are the devil

Facts are wonderful, aren't they? I could check some of the other causes of death you listed if you'd like.

And for the record I am not anti-gun. Just pro-education.

Tony
The subject was road rage and being killed by another driver, which I looked up as anywhere from 250-300 per year.
Just to be clear this is the internet and facts aren't always accurate but it's what I found.

An armed society is a polite society. American law abiding gun owners that haven't had their rights taken away by the anti gunners are not the problem. Its the illegal gun carrying and the gang bangers that you need to be aware of. The fact is in States that allow people to carry tend to be the lowest in crime.

Well said and spot on!

Take the great city of Chicago for example. They have some of the strictest firearm laws in the Nation coupled with one of the highest murder rates. It is the criminals with illegally owned or obtained firearms that are the primary problem. Something like 95% of the firearms used in Chicago were obtained illegally. And over 87% of the people arrested for firearm related crimes were already legally prohibited from owning or possessing a firearm. But the Government & the Media want you to believe the answer is more firearm laws.

Zimmerman should not be able to claim self defense! He started that encounter (by following Trayvon Martin)! He also escalated the encounter by exiting his vehicle and physically impeding (and possibly assaulting) Mr. Martin (also against the specific instructions from the 911 operator)!

You can't start a fight and then claim self defense when it turns out you picked on the wrong person & are getting your butt kicked!

I carry all the time. It's a 1992 Super Soaker .45 with a 1L clip. I tend to only draw on someone when they are wearing tight white t shirts or tank tops. No casualties yet.

The only issue is Zimmerman was the neighborhood watch person who the community thought was a necessity due to the crime in the area.
While Zimmerman did initiate the confrontation, how can he be a watch person and not ask a person why they are in the neighborhood.
Now on the flip side I don't think I would have told him anything until he told me who he was and why he needs to know what I am doing. If he tried to physically restrain or even put his hands on me I would have been in Travons shoes except I also carry and maybe Zimmerman would be in the box.
I am glad I am not on that jury

Comments like that aren't allowed unless there are pictures to go along with the comments.

Because of the frequency of signalised intersections in the city , and the ability to overtake in any lane nobody seems much inclined to race or try to cut anyone up as it doesnt really get you anywhere. Also sticking to the speed limit appears to be more prevalent than in UK.

I can only speak for my experience in Colorado and I hear from locals that things in the big cities are different but so far it has been nothing less than pleasurable to drive on this side of the pond!

To be honest it has never really occurred to me til I read this thread whether anyone is "carrying" or not.
Interesting. I have the exact opposite opinion of driving on US rural highways vs those in Ireland. I find US drivers seriously rude, not moving over when you need to merge, speeding up when you are passing them, and my biggest pet peeve, going slow or at the same speed in the passing lane and never getting out of it. In Ireland they generally drive the posted speed in the travel lane, get in the passing lane and accelerate past a slower driver, then switch back to the travel lane back to their set speed.

Are UK drivers not like that?

Re: Who "carries" in their Jeep?

Yes , and Yes Zimmerman is a murderer who was to by the proper authorities to stop. I have news for everyone I don't think there was a fight. My reasons are #1 the victim was heard begging for his life #2 there is absolutely no dna , or blood evidence from Zimmerman on the victim. #3 The perps clothes are pristine not like a person who was struggling in the mud while being supposedly beaten up. #4 the only dirty clothes where the victims they show dirt on the front which is how he ended up laying after being shot. #5 the perp, and victims hands are both absent normal signs of a struggle, or fight. I think the perp pretty much executed the victim it's just my opinion, but the facts support it.
