Who got loaners from their dealer?

I could swear I remember reading of at least two people that were given loaner WK2s to drive while they waited for their order to be built. Who were the lucky ones?

I had a loaner for the weekend but it was not a build order, mine was brought in from another dealer

Re: Who got loaners from their dealer?

I got laughed at when I asked for something to drive until my order came in.

Re: Who got loaners from their dealer?

I think that is wishful thinking. Only if you have bought a new car from the same dealer every year since you were 16, or sleeping with the owner or his wife.....would they give a loaner for a 2-3 month wait time.

Re: Who got loaners from their dealer?

if it did happen I would think it was a dealer doing someone a BIG favor.

Re: Who got loaners from their dealer?

I only got a WK2 loaner because I crashed my Liberty..... and that loaner wasn't from my dealership.

as i posted, the dealer is doing you a favor..... thats not the standard policy.

also, i would like to see it really happen. if your 'salesman' offered this i wouldn't put too much stock into it. if its in wiriting or from one of the managers, then ok.

hopefully it will be In and you wont have to find out.

Re: Who got loaners from their dealer?

Well, I must be one of the lucky few, I was given a "Loaner" JGC to drive until my JGC Overland hits the ground, which should be soon................. the next day or two.

Re: Who got loaners from their dealer?

My sales manager gave me his Loredo for about a month because it took so long for my Overland to arrive.

Re: Who got loaners from their dealer?

My dealer didn't usually do loaners but I told the salesman the reason I am buying the car is because I need it delivered before snow fall hits because my current vehicle could not be driven in the winter it was a summer car otherwise he's not seeing my money. BANG! I got a loaner right away LOL you have to press them for it don't just expect a loaner. They lent me a Hummer H2 which wasn't too bad but by the time I was done with it it wouldn't even shift out of first gear anymore and the engine/transmission just about every warning light came on LOL what a piece of crap, have fun fixing that one dealership!

That being said I don't know why Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep is so anal about giving out loaners.... When I go get service done at Lexus or Mercedes Benz even if they needed my car for just a few hours they would lend me a brand new loaner no questions asked, didn't even ask for my driver's license or anything. I know Benz dealership has a shuttle driver he will come pick you up at your house if your car is in the shop or drop you off and once he even dropped me off at a restaurant for a bite to eat while my car was being serviced and came back to pick me up again! Too bad Chrysler doesn't have these kind of services.... Maybe that's why they don't have the top rated customer care in the industry either...

They have that service priced into the cars. You pay for it trust me, one way or another.....Ever wonder why the service A (just an oil change is $225) It is a very nice service though....it's the one thing I really miss from not having my MB anymore.
