Question Who has seen the Sky Gray & Indigo interior and what is your opinion?

Was kinda toying with a 2017 in the spring. Really want the new radio with Apple CarPlay if I'm gonna spend the money. Had my eye on the Ski Gray as distinctive and luxurious. BUT just realized the secondary leather color isn't black or dark dark gray ... it's Indigo. Not sure I want dark navy leather in the interior.

Who has seen the Ski Gray & Indigo interior and what is your opinion of it (specifically the Indigo)?

Re: Who has seen the Sky Gray & Indigo interior and what is your opinion?

Also, saw one HD video of the Indigo / Ski Gray interior and the interior wood trim is glossy versus the previous open pore wood....are all 2017 Summit interiors now glossy wood trim and no more open pore wood???

First, I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks it should be Sky Gray. It is actually Ski Gray.

Even more so than in my '14 Overland, the indigo looks more black than blue. Anyone that has looked at mine, except one artsy, fartsy type, said they really like the black with the light grey. But, even Artsy Fartsy really liked the dark blue.

I noticed it was indigo. Not sure how they came to decide to use blue instead of black. I feel like this this interior upgrade should be offered in more color combos. They should do one using the dark brown that only the Summit comes in.

Re: Who has seen the Sky Gray & Indigo interior and what is your opinion?

It's a premium choice on the Chrysler 300 Platinum also, except I think it's Indigo/Linen instead of Grey.... Seems dark blue is a premium color to make. Which I'm a fan of both interiors, but I like the Jeep interior the best because of the contrast on all of the lower inner body panels. I like the Jeep seats also, but it would have looked even better if they had the backs like the Chrysler 300 Platinum. Either way, the Indigo interior is purtyful.

This was a smart move. Not only do they get people who want their leather imported from Sweden, they get people like me who just wanted a light interior. If they had a similar color in the standard Summit interior I'm not sure I would have paid the premium. I don't regret it though.

If they sell enough they may extend the choices. If they ever get to the point where the Summit reaches true luxury status it could become standard.

I did notice that Koons had a few with this interior and the platinum/California package on the lot.

Re: Who has seen the Sky Gray & Indigo interior and what is your opinion?

I saw this interior a few days ago while at the dealership. I opened the door and my first thought was "wow. Looks great" followed immediately by "there is no way I'm keeping this clean". It does look good with the light interior, very clean but almost surgically clean. All the main parts are white. If you wear jeans it would take no time for them to rub off on these seats.

The one I saw was on a brand new summit in their garage and it already had a noticeable dirty hand print on the interior center console. It feels great and lighter color is needed in the summit, however I think it's too "clean" looking and will lose its appeal quickly due to dirt/grime/life/etc

Yes I have and no they haven't.

However, they are all very old. New ones will probably leave some blue behind. It comes off very easily with leather cleaner.

I had an Acura with light grey interior. At Christmas time the dealer gave out cleaning kits with leather, carpet, and a few other cleaners. I don't know the actual manufacturer because they were labeled Acura. This was back when I had my 2011 MDX. I also used it for 2 years on the light tan interior on a '15 Escape.

It doesn't take much to clean off the blue. If I ever run out of cleaner I will trade my Jeep in on an Acura, right before Christmas.

I stand corrected - and edited to correct. Can't seem to find where I can edit the thread title to correct that too.

Seems there is some who say it is gray and others that say it looks white. Guess will have to wait and see it in person.

Lastly Bill, is the interior wood trim glossy on yours? WK2Jeep and online says the black and brown interiors still have the open pore wood but no mention of glossy on the Indigo/Ski Gray interior.

I wouldn't worry about the title. A while back I asked if Ski was a typo. Nobody responded so I figure nobody else will notice.

As for color it sure looks grey to me. Light grey.

The wood is glossy. I read somewhere in a description that it was glossy, so I wasn't surprised.
