Re: Who traded in a Jeep for a WK2?

I will be trading in my '02 GC Overland for the WK2 Overland if I decide to stay with Jeep.
For the past 16 years I've had a GC as my backup vehicle and wanted a change but the WK2 is soooooo tempting and good.

Re: Who traded in a Jeep for a WK2?

I traded a 06 CG Laredo 3.7L 65th anniverasary edition, about 44K on it. Got a '11 Laredo X 5.7L

I wasn't planing on a new one till next year but I was sold the first time I went to the dealer and saw it in person. Got far more than I owed on my trade in and a major upgrade in vehicle. Payments were virtually identical. Plus I've been toying with upgrading our pop-up camper to a travel trailer and the increase in towing will allow it.

Not technically a trade in, but turned in my 07 Wrangler Unlimited lease for a WK2 Limited. Dark Charcoal, Black/Light Frost Beige interior, 5.7L V8, 20 inch wheels.

Picked it up tonight. Will take pics when it's light out tomorrow.

I would have bumped up to probably 18 or 19 with a 3.6L, or down to 15 with the 5.7L in the WK2. That made going to the 5.7L an easier decision - I wasn't going to be spending much more than I was already used to with the KJ. Also, the KJ being too small was another reason we moved up. We don't have kids but have two big dogs and lots of camping gear.

Sure here you go, off of LOST KJ's:

Ah, I've seen that pic before. Nice! I toyed around with possibly lifting the KJ a bit but didn't want to spring for a real lift and read that spacer lifts don't work well on the KJ, so never lifted it. My pickup has about 2.5" of lift.

I am selling a 2000 Jeep Cherokee Sport - that is what I am replacing with the new GC 2011. :-)

Re: Who traded in a Jeep for a WK2?

I'll be trading in my Silver 2007 Jeep GC Limited with the 5.7L V8 Hemi... for a Blackberry Overland V6.

The Overland has been on order for 2 months, and appears to be on hold because of the 730n. Would be more than happy with the 430n, and have tried to get it changed... but no build to date. tear...

I'll be trading in a Black 2000 Grand Cherokee Limited. Just hit 179K on the odometer. It has served me well particularly during the major snowstorms that hit the Northeast this year.

Re: Who traded in a Jeep for a WK2?

Traded in my 1998 Laredo with 143,000 miles. I almost shed a tear. Had that Jeep since Oct 1997. That's 13 years. Needed a new car since we have a baby on the way and it was starting to get expensive fixing part after part and more to come. Needs a new fuel pump (started stumbling and stalling every morning to work), ABS pump, heater core and tires. Dealership gave me $2,000 for it which I put towards the lease. Love my new 2011 Laredo in Dark Charcoal Pearl Coat.
