I have mine set to 0.... but it only talks when it is 5 km/h over on speedo... police in australia can fine you for above that and issue demerit points... you can only loss 12 demerit points in a rolling 3 year period before automatic loss of licence for 6 months.

Re: Who uses the Speed Limit Warning?

I use it, I drive back and forth from Atlanta to Destin Fl a lot on mostly four lane highways through a lot of small towns with different speed limits. Works well for me.
I find it annoying sometimes but it does make me slow down in speed traps.

How do you set the warning? Is it in the UConnect settings?

In the setting on the navigation system as opposed to car settings thru u-connect.

WONDERFUL and SO TRUE !! Every Husband and wife will love this poem!
I have a little GPS
I've had it all my life
It's better than the normal ones
My GPS is my wife

It gives me full instructions
Especially how to drive
"It's sixty k's an hour", it says
"You're doing sixty five"

It tells me when to stop and start
And when to use the brake
And tells me that it's never ever
Safe to overtake

It tells me when a light is red
And when it goes to green
It seems to know instinctively
Just when to intervene

It lists the vehicles just in front
And all those to the rear
And taking this into account
It specifies my gear.

I'm sure no other driver
Has so helpful a device
For when we leave and lock the car
It still gives its advice.

It fills me up with counseling
Each journey's pretty fraught
So why don't I exchange it
And get a quieter sort?

Ah well, you see, it cleans the house,
Makes sure I'm properly fed,
It washes all my shirts and things
And - lets me have a shed.

Despite all these advantages
And my tendency to scoff,
I do wish that once in a while
I could turn the darn thing off.

Awesome.... haven't seen that one before... but I won't share that one with my partner... carrying twins has made her very hormonal... to say the least

Re: Who uses the Speed Limit Warning?

Even though I don't have the SRT yet I can see myself really needing it as you can reach the limit before you even realize it.

Here on Oz they have fixed and mobile speed cameras up and down the roads I frequent so I can't take the risk. Not sure what the Jeep has but Lexus has a cool overspeed warning where rings in the speedometer turn amber until you go below the set speed.

Radknight.... it has that too plus one that you put a number above the speed limit and it knows the speed limit on the road you are on. It gives about 20 metres between zone changes before it strikes

Awesome. Thanks for the info.

Wonder if they gave a speed limiter for the SRT for when the wife drives it.

Missing in the poll: I'd use it, but it's never worked. Ever.

What firmware you running. Roughly where are you located, maybe it's a map problem.
