I use Pandora and Slacker, but they are not part of the Uconnect subscription.

I let my Uconnect subscription run out. It's too much $$ for being able to remote start/unlock and use Yelp that I never used once in a year.

Unless it goes down the $5 a month, I'll never purchase it.

I feel the same way.

As far as the uconnect apps, I have played with Pandora a few times, but Id rather use the Pandora app on the phone and stream the Bluetooth audio to my Jeep. I have unlimited data that way.

No, the Uconnect app uses your phone's data plan. All it's doing it enabling you to use a nice pretty UI. You're still unlimited.

Re: Who uses UConnect here?

I'm not exactly sure what the heck you get with Uconnect. Is it just Pandora and Yelp? Cause I get those through my phone. 911? Phone. 3G hotspot? My phone does 4G.

If that's it, it's probably the most useless feature in the world. The fact that they want $20/mo for it is the most ridiculous thing I may ever have heard of.

thats the thing, I dont have unlimited. I have 1 GB data monthly, my carrier T-Mobile does not count data usage while using popular music streaming ie. pandora, itunes radio, slacker, rdio, etc.

If i use pandora in my Jeep im using the data throught uconnect app, and that does count towards my data

Re: Who uses UConnect here?

Can anyone clarify if a uconnect subscription is required to use the Via Mobile feature? My free trial ends soon and i'm wondering if i'll still be able to use via mobile after the trial ends. The via mobile feature is the only thing i've found semi useful. I would never pay $20/month to keep uconnect though

According to the Owner Connect website the via Mobile is a 5 year free trial. It isn't really clear if you have to keep a Uconnect subscription or not to enable that. If you call Uconnect they go on and on about coming new features without giving you a hint as to what they are. I am just wondering if the new features have anything to do with Chrysler joining the Google and Apple Play groups?

Really? That's interesting that they are saying new features are coming... might or might not be related to carplay/aa. That would be odd if they tied those features to a subscription service. I'm pretty sure that is not the model endorsed by Apple or Google.

Re: Who uses UConnect here?

Yelp? And Pandora? What's the benefit of using it through connect vs just using their individual app on my cell? I do use uconnect often for the remoTe start, so when I get to the truck it's nice and cool inside.

The UI on an 8" screen.

To be clear, Pandora and Slacker DO work without a subscription.

A subscription gets you Yelp, and the remote lock/unlock and start capabilities.
