Yep - that's right.....on any trim level above Laredo. My error as I hadn't configured a Laredo recently. I guess since that's the base model they want you to upgrade the trim level to get certain options/features. I would think most Laredo buyers aren't too concerned unless a Laredo E and some of the special derivatives of Laredo E where the buyers may expect the V8 option.

Well, not anymore. The earlier Laredos had the X package. I have it on my '12 and love it. V8, heated leather, nav, Harman Kardon audio, sunroof, charcoal wood grain. And obviously the best part is....DUAL TIPS!!!

Re: Why did Jeep go back to single exhaust?

The Hemi was also an option on the 2013 Laredo (w/Trailhawk package).

How do you have a HarmonKardon system on a 2012 Laredo? I'm assuming you have the Alpine system.

Might be. I test drove 4 wk2s ranging frome base Laredo to overland. Then deployed the next month. I remember seeing HK somewhere. Still deployed currently so I can't check. Either way, upgraded sound.

The X package didn't necessarily include the V8, but I did see Laredos with V8's once in a while.

I had the large screen radio, heated leather seats, sunroof, etc. in my 2010 Laredo, but with a V6. A nice step up from the 2004 SE.

Re: Why did Jeep go back to single exhaust?

I've had my 2016 GC Laredo for a couple months and i'm really looking to modify my exhaust. I'm not looking for a full cat back system. Are there any mufflers or smaller systems that work well with the SINGLE exhaust on the 3.6 Laredo?

That would be a good question to ask up above in the Engine Performance/Intake/Exhaust forum area.

I like that look too and can say that's the 1 thing I don't like about my 16.
