Re: Why Did They Do it?

I had a 2010 Limited on which the wheel well trim was part of the quarter panels. It looked nice until someone (who looks just like me) sideswiped a tree and scratched it up pretty good. I was very happy to get the black trim with the 2013. If "someone" does something like that again, it'll be an easier fix.

Why did they put those cheap plastic body moldings over the wheel wells? They don't even fit flat to surface. Reminds me of an old cheap GM trick. Anyone else notice this? Thoughts?

You must hate the SRT8 too then, for both years.

Fit flat ?? - I actually like them , more upscale, a little SRT styling and you'll find Merc/BMW's and Landrovers all do the same with their moldings. The Summit is more focused on the luxury SUV buyer and those who own a Summit will unlikely take it off-road in the desert. I for one use it as my daily driver 100+ miles along with pulling my boat and trailer. Sounds like your mind is made up..
