I would have bought an overland had I not got hooked on the SRT's power.

Why did you buy your Overland vs other options

It kinda does look like the ghetto edition. Wheels look like those spinners too.

To each his own but I love my Overland especially the steering wheel and the saddle brown leather, black interior.

The steering wheel is the first thing that caught my eye when I bought my Overland. I love it. Nice and fat and hot in the winter and I don't dislike the Chrome...

Re: Why did you buy your Overland vs other options

For me, the overland looked best. I concidered the summit but didn't really like some of the features and for the price the Overland won. Only thing i learned now is the summit has a better sound system. Can't imagine anything else that would have sold me on the summit. Not a fan of the wheels, front fascia, rear fascia.

Also not worried about resale for this vehicle as im planning on keeping it til the wheels fall off.

Re: Why did you buy your Overland vs other options

I picked the overland over the summit. Overall I like the looks of the overland over the summits large amount of chrome. The overland also looks a little tougher in my opinion. I like the stitching on seats and the dash. When I compared stereos of both I could not tell enough of a difference to sway me to the summit.

To each their own but I like my overland!

Re: Why did you buy your Overland vs other options

I didn't think I would like the wood steering wheel on my overland but I do now. I wish I got the advanced tech package though. Had I waited a couple months I could have gotten one for the same price.

No, that is light or packaging, truck driver dropped his load at 5:00 am and my friend who sold me the jeep, snapped the picture, he gets in at 7:00, brought jeep inside, removed and saved all the packaging for me and gave me the screenshot of the VOTS timeline, kind of cool.

My other friends who is a tech did the prep, and since it snowed last night kept it inside, and it inside tonight. He needs to test drive it, but post poned that until tomorrow when roads are dry. I told him to warm it up and go down the back roads near the store and give it some half dozen 3/4 throttle romps to seat rings good

He checked all fluid levels all the other stuff, all I have to di bring a fat check to pay for it, sales tax, registration and title fees.

Will drive it a bit Sat and then bring in my garage and rip it apart to rust proof and paint it underneath. Probably take me a week doing it at night.
Got a gallon of rust encapsulator and a gallon of epoxy chasis black from Eastwoods, brushable seam sealer, case of Fluid Film.

Also will clay it, and apply paint sealant and wax.

Have the mudflaps and door sills to put on too.

Any chance you'll document your rust proofing procedure?
