Its apparent from that picture you know what you're doing. As a Michigander I'd be grateful if you'd share your process on the forum.

I am in a very similar situation. I too drive a lot for business and the ride of the Overland was outstanding. I never considered a lower model. Actually debated between the Overland and the Summit. My company pays for my vehicle so money was not too much of an issue. In the end I purchased new a 2011 Overland and have loved every one of the 68,000 miles I have put on my Jeep.

By the way, this was my first Jeep. I traded in a Porsche Cayenne S for the Jeep and can honestly say the Jeep is the best SUV I have owned. In a few years I plan to get another Grand Cherokee Overland, or whatever they name the model at that time.

Re: Why did you buy your Overland vs other options

I traded up from an 07 GC limited and most of the features I was looking for could have been found in the luxury group option on a '14 limitied. At the end of the day the vesuvio blue interior won me over. Ive grown quite fond of a wooden steering wheel over the years and Im enjoying the selectterrain as well as the quadra lift suspension. I had a faulty ground wire on it recently and the the lift was stuck in an awk slant for a week or so. It started to scare me when I thought about whats going to happen to this rig once im out of warranty. I think i'll end up trading it in after 6 or so years but other than that im warming up to it. Though i feel like the overland and summit should share more similarities pertaining to styling, acoustics and such. I actually miss the boston system in my WK
