Re: Why did you factory order your JGC?

If your intention is to trade your current vehicle in at the dealership you're purchasing the new Jeep from, they should be able to give you a price of what your trade-in is worth currently in writing. The fact of the dealership will not give you a price anywhere is an indication they intend to lowball/screw you when your new Jeep comes in.

I have another car that I would like to trade in , however the dealership does not even mention the trade in car's current value in the contract. I am worry about that receiving the GC, the dealer offer me much lower price for my trade in car. I don't want go through hassle of selling my privately.
Thank you
Hmm, why do you need a "contract" for your order? I have a trade as well and my dealer provided me with a data-sheet that included ALL the numbers - including my trade. He already told me what he would be willing to pay for my trade two months in advance. Although I had to put $500 down, I didn't have to sign ANYTHING besides the slip of the credit-card charge.

If you agreed on a trade-in value and the dealer is not honoring it...simply walk away.

Re: Why did you factory order your JGC?

I am considering ordering for a few reasons:
Can get off road adventure package and ability to select exactly what I want.

I do have a couple questions for people who have ordered:
1) How do you get body colored mirrors?
2) Can you get ventilated seats without Luxury II? I assume the answer to this is no but welcome any input

Thanks

Body color mirrors can be ordered - I believe it's a $92 option.

You cannot get ventilated seats WITHOUT the Luxury II package.

You are welcome. If I can find my build sheet I will tell you what the order code is for body color mirrors.

Re: Why did you factory order your JGC?

You cannot order body color mirrors and lux group II. (unless the changed it)

You can order body color mirrors on Limited (without lux II). No charge. (unlees they changed that)

So your advice is that we should agree on trade in value before accepting any factory order?

Yeah, they didn't want to give me any trade in value number. They told me to do factory order and when the new car arrives, then they will reevaluate my trade in car.

Re: Why did you factory order your JGC?

When I ordered my 2015 GC limited on June 24th, the whole deal was done including the trade in valuation. Of course, there was the caveat that if the trade in vehicle was damaged between June 24th and the delivery date, there would be a reevaluation.

I had a signed copy of the order with the bottom line price after the trade in on June 24th.

I would not have accepted any other arrangement. The trade in valuation is usually a major chunk of change affecting the bottom line.

Re: Why did you factory order your JGC?

I am thinking to wait until 2015 model (diesel becomes available in the dealerships, then I go ahead and buy one and trade my car in at that time. However the big issue is that in the area that I live they don't order car with OFF road II package by default.

I think I have to find another dealer if my local dealer does not put my trade in car in the agreement.
He offering me the lowest price almost $1500 lower than the others even a couple of hundred lower than Truecar.com's price, but I am worried that I get screwed later when he will offer me the trade in value.
