People always think manufacturers are reading forums. They are, but they know what these issues are...and they know how people on forums are. By terrorizing the forum with your problems you don't terrorize Chrysler, you just make enemies on the forum.

Just make sure you don't take that frustration out on the forum and its members. We didn't build your Jeep.

I agree, but I will add my own experience. You can see from these posts I am not one of these people. I had issues, I traded the Jeep on a new one and now I'm happy. I want to be happy. BUT, when I was having problems and discussing them and coming to the rescue of others with problems...you guys turned on me quick, and I remember some exchanges with you specifically. People were characterizing me a certain way left or right and they were totally wrong about my motivations, but there wasn't anything I could do to convince them of that.

Everybody just needs to try and walk a bit in each others shoes. People with issues need to not take them out on the forum, not do shit like post them in your signatures, not drag them into off topic threads. People who are happy need to not automatically lash out at people with issues and give them the benefit of the doubt.

Part of the reason why people with issues take positive threads as attacks on themselves is that they are constantly being told THEY are the problem, not their vehicles. They're told that by Chrysler, by the dealer, and by this forum. Its incredibly frustrating. It gets to the point where they see positive posts as more "See, it IS you".
I may have had some exchanges with you in the past , but I never though your posts were unfair and I never thought your complaints were unfounded. I have had my own issues with my past jeeps so I know how that can be. My problem are with those very few who come on here with their negative comments and and then think that everyone should be negative and bash just like them.

Re: Why Do Complaint Posts Get Closed So Early?

Hi,
I consider myself quite new as this is my first JGC, i found this forum thru internet to learn, and i have learned quite a lot..and hopefully I will keep learning.
I dont know Scott but I agree with him 100%, drive and enjoy your Jeep, if you had the bad luck of getting one with issues, then change it, sell it, or whatever, but you wont convince me that Jeeps are not good, I love mine more every day.

There are people that use forums as a way of ventilating their negative thinkings and they forget to look at the positive side of things, that kind of people will always exist.

Scott, my humble suggestion ?..dont close the thread, that would mean those negative people are really important, let them talk/write, only 0.001% of the readers will pay attention to them, and one last thing....

If any prospect buyers base their Jeep purchase on what a magazine (consumer reports) might say or not say.....in my book they are plain dumb !..as easy as that.

You all have a great day /night, I wish you could all enjoy your Jeeps as much as I do.
Saludos/Regards
Victor

As for closing the threads, I agree with Scott on this. I hate the fact that so many threads are being opened about the same thing, just worded different, and its all the same people basically complaining. It is nothing against the OP on this or his views, everyone has their own opinion. Forums need to be kept moderated so it doesn't get out of hand and it seems that some have. If they do then they get closed or put to flammables area, case closed. Maybe a section in the WK2 should be made for complaints/problems so people know what they are getting into when they go into that area. I just don't like to see people turn on others for having opinions or start the flaming because they are angry at Chrysler/Jeep and take it out on others. Everyone is different and few the problems they have on many factors, but others might not. My small issue might make someone else blow a gasket because of x,y,z reasons.
One problem with having representatives participate in forums is that unless it were Sergio himself, their ability to actually fix stuff is limited.

They can tell you who might be able to help you if that is your honest goal, and if properly done by the manufacturer, they would have back doors to pretty much everyone if warranted, including Sergio.

However, it depends on the forum members then to treat them with respect and realize that they are really here to help, but much like dealing with service managers and reps, honey catches more flies than vinegar.

I'm very happy with my vehicle but at the same time I understand that there are people that are not. If someone is not happy they have every right to complain and be unhappy with there vehicle. And since your not a moderator here you shouldn't feel the need to explain whats right and wrong with the op's thread.

For me, I've only complained of significate issues...not little things like panels being misaligned or creaking interior pieces...and it's nothing personal...just my own frustration after paying so much for this vehicle, and receiving poor performance & service in return.

+1

Much like many here are taking a negative post as an attack on them.

Also laughable.....

I'll give you some advice so you can keep from tiring yourself...........STOP READING HIS POST AND SIG.

He may be constantly beating the same drum in your mind but you keep constantly reading his post and feeling the need to respond, don't you?

Just put him on your ignore list and save yourself some time and trouble. Damn, you don't have to be here!

Re: Why Do Complaint Posts Get Closed So Early?

I am on this forum and use this forum for information purposes and to post questions...or in the rare case, answers. Better to be a leg humper in life than a leg pisser. BTW, my transmission shifts great! (gotta throw in some humor)

He asked why the posts get closed so early, and I offered my viewpoint. Seeing that multiple people have thanked me for my posts including the owner of the site, I'll take my cues from them, thanks.

As for putting him on my ignore list, why would I do that? I don't have an issue with his posts, he was wondering why people seem to...and I told him my opinion on why that was.

I retract my previous post Scott, this ones jumped the shark, close away! Lol
