That happened to me the first few times I washed my Jeep....I always hand wash. So after the first few times of this making me nuts I keep my key a safe distance from me & the Jeep when washing.

If you have the Keyless Entry feature turned on, then its probably detecting the key and somehow also thinking the door handle is being touched.

Personally, I turned OFF the Keyless Entry feature from Day 1. I prefer having to actually HIT A BUTTON to unlock my vehicle.

Re: Why does my 2013JGC Insist on unlocking

When washing, I leave the fob in the vehicle, remove the key from fob and stick the key in my pocket. I generally wash my car at night and don't to annoy the neighbors with all the flashing lights/illuminated entry. Plus, if the doors lock for no reason and a random EMP blast happens to occur, I can still manually unlock the doors so I can get inside the Jeep to get my chewing gum.
