Why no option to build/install front parksense?

It is available in the EU market but why can't Mopar offer this as an aftermarket addition? I'm sure there are a bunch of us in DC, NYC, Boston, SF, LA, etc that this additional piece of hardware would be very handy to have. The only option my dealer could offer was aftermarket, and to me, it does not have the fit/finish as what I have seen on the EU GCs.

You can buy this as an accessory. The US part number was posted in another thread (it was slightly modified from the EU part number). My question is; like the add-on rear parksense, would it be a stand-alone installation with its own beeper (not integrated into the existing systems), or is there a port waiting in the vehicle for the plug to "complete" it?

Re: Why no option to build/install front parksense?

I'm curious to know this as well. We have several vehicles and to fit them all in my driveway we must park 1 inch from each other. It's only a matter of time before I or my fiancée bump one of the other vehicles. So if I can get the factory front park sense and it is well integrated sign me up!

Maybe something we can ask Milous to reply on, will PM a link to this thread and maybe he can add some input/options.

The front sensors will make their way into more WK2 trimlines in the model years ahead. I think that there is a good possibility that Mopar will at some point add the feature to their accessory catalog, as they did with the rear sensors.

Already is (in Australia anyway)

Price: AUD $469.51

I'm not sure whether these are the ones that can be activated into the EVIC or whether they're a stand alone unit?
