Here's a shot of a black seat logo. It looks to be from pre 2011's but the newest versions also have the stitching to match the same color leather. Saddle leather has similarly matched saddle stitching.

The piping on the 2011's is contrasting so black/grey, saddle/black, frost/greyish.

Re: Why would anyone buy the Limited?

I'll probably be buying a Limited and agree I have long term relaibility concerns about quadralift and don't think I'd need it.

I also prefer less wood and no seat logos. It would be really nice if Jeep offered more flexibility with options and the ability to "delete" some items like the logos. Porsche charges an extra $250 if you want crests on the headrests, Jeep is giving away something they could probably charge for the those who like them.

Ventilated seats as a stand alone option without the luxury group would also be really nice to have as an option.

Re: Why would anyone buy the Limited?

Funny, but with the problems that we've all incurred with Jeep seat heaters, I worry about the ventilated seats as much as the life of the QL. However, even though I keep vehicles until their "wheels fall off", I'll be ordering the full treatment Overland. I think for those that will worry about these features, the Limited is definitely the better choice.

Buy the lifetime extended warranty from Chrysler, and you won't have to worry about any unproven systems, ever.

Honestly, I can't imagine buying a first gen vehicle like this without at least a 7 year 100,000 mile warranty.

I bought the 7/100 for my 2002 Grand Cherokee, and it paid for itself 5 times over.

Re: Why would anyone buy the Limited?

You're right, you wouldn't really get a loaded up Limited. It makes no sense.

The reason I can think of is interior preferences. Personally, I prefer the Limited interior "themes" to the Overland. I like the black/beige contrast more than the dark brown/beige contrast, especially with Dark Charcoal paint.

I wanted very specific Limited, with only 2 options - the V8 and the 20-inch wheels. That put it at more than $2,500 less than an Overland with the V8. If I had wanted the Luxury Group II as well, I would have moved to the Overland, since by that point, the price gap wouldn't be large enough.
