I have verified that incompetence is contagious with every auto dealer in this country. Thanks for nothing Wickstrom Jeep in Barrington Illinois. You have confirmed that only lazy / unmotivated idiots are employed at your facility and I will NEVER set foot back inside your dealership nor will I refer any more people to that excuse for a business.
In a nutshell. Took it in for some very simple rattles and got it back with the same rattles and nothing but excuses. It took over 12 hours for them to call me and tell me that they did nothing to the car. Then they have to get on me about making sure I get the minivan rental car back within a 24-hour span so they don't get charged for next today. My time is very valuable, I have customers who are waiting on orders while I have to deal with low-level incompetent morons. Now more of my valuable time will be wasted trying to remedy some very simple problems.
Like I said above. I have the knowledge and engineering background to fix the issues myself. But with a three-year 36,000 mile bumper-to-bumper warranty I figured I could leave those problems up to the so called professionals. I was wrong.
Unfortunately this is generally how it is when dealing with the service department for American car manufacturers. It such too becuase I really wanted the Jeep, but knew if I ever had to bring it in for service the chances were pretty high that I would not be happy with the results.
When I had my Acura and Lexus the service departments are incredible!!!! Always get a brand spankin new high end loaner for as long as you need, they were always very polite and go above and beyond. Hope I dont ever have to bring my Jeep in for work :-)
