Anyone try the Mopar windshield sunscreen? It is part number 82209061. Which is the same part number they show for older Jeep Grand Cherokees, but is says it fits the 2011 also. There is also one made by a company called HeatShield and sold by Amaon that says it fits the 2011 JGC and is a little cheaper. Anyone try it?
I picked mine up off ebay. when it showed up it was made by the same company that made the ones at the dealer parts area. Perfect fit too. I am sure the 2010 and 2011 are different.
I bought the Heatshield off Amazon and am very happy with it. It is well made, and comes in sections for folding. It is a much heavier grade type material which is stiff, therefore the panels. The back has a suede-type feel to the material and it fits extremely well while doing a great job of reflecting the Arizona sun.
Steve52, I lied to you but not on purpose. I returned the Heatshield (too flimsy I felt) and ended up with one from Covercraft sold by Autoanything for 49.95. Here is the link:
I have purchased so much from Amazon lately and the Heatshield was familar, so I just assumed that was what I had, sorry. No, there is too much electrical componetry for it to fit as I just tried it.
That is a nice looking sunshade. I may just order that one. I like the fact that it folds up for storage. Question: The video on the website says you can get a storage bag for it, but I didn't see it listed anywhere so I could add it to my cart. Did you get a storage bag with yours?
Edit:
Never mind. I see now if you want the bag you have to purchase the $59.95 model that comes with the carry case.
Edit 2: Actually the case is an option you can choose. The $59.95 is a different model and brand.
