Windshield washer fluid on side windows

I'd say any more than 40 mph when using the windshield washers, after the wipers clear the water off it makes a beeline for the front side windows. And I mean ALL over the windows like nobody's business. I've never had a car do this before. I put some Weathertech window deflectors on hoping that would solve the problem but it's remained unchanged. Anyone else notice this? Any advice? I'm thinking of installing some raised weather stripping or something at the edges of the windshield to keep this from happening.

Tony

Yes the mirror do a vacuum and pull the water to the glass.
It does not bother me at all.

Re: Windshield washer fluid on side windows

I've had just the opposite experience that you've had, every vehicle I have ever owned has done this, and it drives me nuts. Back before I had a/c in my vehicles, I'd roll up the windows before I ran the washers to keep it off my face.

That's always been my experience. Years ago I started using RainX on the side windows. Any water that does hit them blows right off.

Re: Windshield washer fluid on side windows

I use a windshield washer fluid made by Einszett called Kristall Klar. You add an ounce to 1 gallon of distilled water.

Not only does it work 100x better than the blue stuff (It actually removes bugs), but because you're using distilled water, there are no water spots after it dries. Yes, it gets on the windows, but doesnt leave any residue.

My lexus IS350 was terrible. With the windows open, it'd drip inside the car onto the tweeter. If you were moving, it'd get your arm and leg. Fortunately, the jeep is great with this. I can wash the windows with every window open and nothing comes inside.
