Ok so Milous has been kind enough to track my ride through the birthing process up until it's delivery on the 8th. It was delivered at 11pm so I figured I'd get a call from the dealer on the 9th. Nope not all day. I so happen to drive by the dealer late last night figuring they prepped it and would be ready today. Nope sitting in the front lot plastic all over it unlocked noless. I'm going to give him a call this afternoon to get the exact price out the door so my bank can cut the check and I can drive my sweetness home! Wish me luck and patience. Doesn't he know I check this site like 5x a day lol

You didn't call them at all on the 9th and you're not going to call them until this afternoon?? Wow, that's not patience, that masochism!! Congrats on the imminent bliss of the First Drive Home.

lol that is what I was thinking. I actually asked the dealer if I could drive mine off the truck when it gets there, he did not think that was too funny.

 that is funny mashie.... A few days ago I was tempted to call my dealer/Chrysler and ask him if I could get it off the staging lot in Toledo since it was so close...

I guess it's like anything...when you work in an ice cream shop every day, ice cream loses some of its allure. Same probably goes for OB/GYNs...well, maybe not.

It's probably natural for the dealers to sometimes forget that to their customers, delivery day is huge! I was in the Detroit area last weekend and stopped by a Jeep dealer. Asked him if it would be faster for me to order and take delivery through him since he is just "downriver" (term they use for anything south of Detroit) from Jefferson North Assembly Plant. He said it probably wouldn't make too much of a difference. A factory delivery program for splashy new models like the WK2 would also be a cool thing, but I can see how it could also turn into a fiasco if mishandled. I'd rather that they focus on turning out excellent vehicles when it's all said and done.

But for the love of Mike, Redcivic47-- make the call to your dealer!!

Ok well I call the dealer and ask him if i can have my jeep that's been sitting in his lot for three days. I am told that the guy I did the write up with in September is in a meeting (it's a small dealership and i dealt with the owner who gave me a good price) but they would get a hold of him and see what they can do and call me back. No phone call. I call back and ask if I can at least have the final out the door price because my bank is closing soon and they need to cut the check in anticipation of a late night pick up or something on Saturday. Ok I'll wait for them to call back. Nope no call back. Menwhile i call the bank and they cut me a check for the original amount and said any addl discounts/rebates woud be given back to me in a check so i should be good to go. After waiting several hours i call again and do speak to the owner who is back from training. He was shocked i knew the truck was there and said it must have shown up early this morning. He didn't know i knew it was there for 3 days and i went there the last night and was inside it. So I was sure I'd be able to pick it up Saturday. Yeah, no he's hunting tomorrow and is busy. So of course i ask if someone else will TAKE MY 45 THOUSAND DOLLAR CHECK and he said no no one else there knows the ins and outs so sorry, how's Monday for ya. I'm So pisssed right now!

I can only imagine what a joy it's going to be to get your vehicle serviced at that establishment. That owner has got his butt connected to his brain with a force-feed mechanism. Please reveal the name of this dealer so that at least in this forum he can receive the ignominy that he so richly deserves.

I would channel your frustration and anger into a letter to Chrysler over the weekend. Others have mentioned that the dealer network has got to step up to the expectations of a more demanding clientele if they are to mix it up with the big boys in the luxe SUV market. This guy needs to receive an attitude adjustment pronto.

If I can come up with any ideas on how to exact revenge on this dealer, I will pass them along.

I don't know WHO that dealer is, but he's kind of a jerk. If I was that dealer, I would make time to please my customers and witness the SMILE on their faces when they drive away in their new Jeep. Good luck on Monday!

Unbelievable BS! Sounds like either they want to keep it on the lot as a sample for other sales or someone plans a weekend trip with it. (I once had a salesman take the vehicle I was promised a 5 minute test drive in, the only WK2 in the city at the time, take it on his two-week vacation instead.) Needless to say they will never see a dime from me again.

In this case he has you over a barrel. But note the mileage on delivery and any possible rough use, and see a lawyer if it makes sense.
After your sale and all paperwork is complete, if you have any alternatives tell him he will never get money from you for service.

If you took delivery of a vehicle that had been in someone else possession for 2 weeks before you got it, you're the fool. I would never have accepted that. It never ceases to amaze me what dealership owners try to pull. I worked at a Dodge dealership in TN, and the owner kept taking a Charger SRT8 home for months, smoking in it and wracking up 4000 miles on the damned thing. Try selling that as new!

I gather you are assuming the OB/GYNs only see the pretty ones...ewe there's a scary thought boys and girls. What about a Proctologist, yathink he jumps out of bead in the morning rarrin to get to work

I know an OB/GYN, and he tells me the truth; 99% of his clients are elderly, obese, or have some severe problem with their "plumbing". Not something you want to see everyday! He told me the 1 or 2 times a month he sees a hot chick in his office for a standard check-up does NOT make up for the majority.

Ok I was able to sleep thought the night and the day is finally here. Cme he'll or high water the jeep will be in my driveway tonight.
If it's not I hope you have the self-dignity to lie to us and say that it is! I would not hold it against you.

Good luck liberating your prize from the clutches of the Heartless and Uncaring Outdoorsman/Hunter Jeep dealer!:D

Got it after waiting 4 hours in the dealership and driving it an hour and a half home. I work nights so when i wake up and there's daylight I'll send pics. Thanks all for your moral support!

Chrysler should send you a satisfaction survey, I hope you slam Hunter boy...these things are supposed to be very important to dealers rep with Chrysler

While I was selling out of that Dodge dealership, our customers were mailed a paper survey by Chrysler CO itself about our performance and we never saw anything but the results, reported to us by Chrysler. If we had even one bad mark, just one, we were held over the coals about it for weeks by the sales manager. Even with that in play, most of my fellow salesmen were ass-hats at best. I left, not only because I was getting so good at lying to customers, and rewarded for that, but also the bs between the salespeople.

OK so all is well, already put 200 miles on my new ride and took some pics for starters. When I have more time I'll take more interesting ones.
