WK2 2013 GC Headlamps: Halogen to Bi-Xenon or Projector Retrofit

Hello All,

New to this site and I tried to do a search on this topic but didn't have too much luck, if this questions was asked elsewhere, my apologies.

I recently purchased a 2013 Grand Cherokee. It came with the stock halogen headlamps, i am wanting to upgrade to Bi-Xenon lamps. Is this possible? Ive seen OEM Bi-Xenon lamps on Ebay (quite pricey), if i purchased those would it be plug and play, assuming i got a HID conversion kit w/ ballast? Would i need a special wiring harness? Another option I've thought of is a projector retrofit. There are OEM Jeep Projectors on EBAY now. Does anyone know if this retrofit is possible? I looked at the Bi-Xenon Lamps and the Halogen lamps and the halogen lamps do not look like they would accept the projector cleanly/easily as they appear to be somewhat shallower in their construction. If someone could point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
KJ

Hey bud... It is possible... I just did it myself. I bought the lights from just for jeeps and ordered a wiring harness from Jeep Addicted on this forum. He makes the harness for a reasonable price and has a fast turnaround.. They look and work so much better then the stock halogens.. Good luck

Hey thanks for the reply bud. Do you have a part number for the ones you purchased through just for jeeps?

Many thanks,
KJ

Re: WK2 2013 GC Headlamps: Halogen to Bi-Xenon or Projector Retrofit

I have looked and it seems the last letter on the part number differs slightly on some headlamps. The last letter either ends with an I, D, E, F, G, or H

55079380AI_55079381AI (Part number from Just for Jeeps)

Does anyone know what the difference is between them?

I Don't know about the different model numbers but they make a chrome HID headlight and a black HID headlight... I purchased the the black ones. They look really nice against my silver jeep.. And they are a Little cheaper. The black ones are for the SRT model

I believe the SRT BI_Xenon Headlamp Assemblies/Housings you are speaking of are:

Mopar Part #'s: 68086419AB (560$)_68086418AB ($630)

Can it be true...these headlamp assemblies are cheaper than the JGC?
