Re: WK2 Altitude Edition pictures and questions!

I'd agree with the others, 4x4; actually that's the only way we can buy these jeeps up here north of your border.

As for the speaker system; the standard speaker system sounds great to me, ok not audiophile class but definitely good enough for something that you're driving down the road at highway speeds; with all the wind noise, road noise, traffic noise, kid / passenger noise, I can't really get worked up about the quality of a stereo system in a car. Most people probably can't tell the difference (in a double blind study) anyway. My home system is very nice, the car is just for background music when desired.

Looks good! You should look into the Overland grill. I think it would finish off the front end real nice.

Thanks man! Ya the honeycomb grill would look really good. I'm planning to put some LED bars behind the grill for some extra lighting so I think the grill i have now would show the lights better.

Same steps on my rig too. You should definitely either wrap the chrome piece on the steps or plasti dip them to complete the "murdered out" look. My last step is taking care of the chrome window trim

Re: WK2 Altitude Edition pictures and questions!

There is negligible difference in fuel economy between the 4x2 and 4x4 versions of the JGC...the only reason to go 4x2 would be the slight cost savings at purchase, but depending on where you are and the direction of the wind, the resale/trade on the 4x2 may be lower down the road. And...it's a Jeep.

Re: WK2 Altitude Edition pictures and questions!

4x2's hold up just as 4x4's off road. Unless your gonna take up on steep hills, ride in snow, a 4x2 is a good choice. 4x4 does not make u drive better.

Re: WK2 Altitude Edition pictures and questions!

The choice between 4x4 or 4x2 Is a matter of location, location, location. Then there is the resale factor later as well and being able to market the vehicle to the masses which I believe 4x4 would be more sought after.

Re: WK2 Altitude Edition pictures and questions!

Those of you who have a 2014 Altitude... Did you get a backup camera as standard equipment? Just wondering because I don't understand why the 2012 & 13s have them as standard and from what I have read the 14s don't

Mine has a build date of 6/14 and it doesn't have the back-up camera.
