Yea, there's probably more driver error in there than anything.

But I was curious about "corrected" times. My effective altitude at the time was 3700 feet.

This site: http://www.greatlakesdragaway.com/co...onfactors.html

Says to multiply my time by 0.9549. So the time is 16.631 instead. Still high, lol.

No such thing as driver error with these Jeeps, it is an all wheel drive automatic the shifts at redline each gear whether it is in sport mode, tow/haul. Unless their is something in the program that changes the tune (doubtful) then from a standing start you just floor it and go, these 5.7's are dogs, just never imagined that bad

There can still be driver error. Brake torque it to 3-4k and launch. It'll launch like shit and worsen your time more. There are some other factors as well.

The driver plays a huge role at the track and you would absolutely see different times out of different driving styles/techniques - even in an auto. It's all about how quick you get off the line so if he just waited for the light and then punched the gas he gave up a lot of time on the start which translates into a lower top speed and slower time when he crosses the line.

Epoche was obviously there to watch the SRT's and just did a run for fun so I think some people are taking his time too seriously. Had he been there to race himself and was concerned about things like shutting off the A/C, Brake Launching, using the tow/haul, etc he could have easily reduced his time.

You also need to take into account altitude, temperature on that given day, if the Jeep is running at 100% and the list goes on and on. So many variables.

I'm not saying its a race car by any means but clearly the 5.7 is capable of faster times. Mototrend and others all have it tested at 15.4

x2

Back when I spent a good amount of time at the track, my friends and I used to all race the same car (because we were poor and only had 1 car between 3 friends). It was an automatic camaro with a 350 and the times would vary a few seconds between drivers. This was the same car on the same night. I was usually the slowest though We all got better and before we blew it up, we were within a half second of eachother.
