Just coming up to 48,000 miles on my 2014 V-6, normal service and all the service bulletins etc., nothing to complain about, really like the Jeep! Dave

So, how many miles and what issues, if any, have you had.

I had mine for a week and no issues yet!!
Good Thread Idea . . . for a split second I was confused, wondered how you could put 35,000 miles on in a week , but realized it's New to YOU ! What is its Previous Owners Maintenance History ? Please tell us you checked before buying !?

Looks like about 5000 miles and . . . SOLD ? We all know you want a '17 with Hemi before they do away with them . . . no?

Other than that, I've replaced the oil as needed, and also the cabin and air filter.

Great vehicle so far!
I'm just guessing here, but with the '16s it's all electric - no fluid to fill ?

Nope, electric just means it uses an electric motor to drive the pump instead of off the crank. Still uses fluid like a traditional system.

Re: Wk2....how many miles on yours, and what problems???

68k 2011 Laredo X w/ hemi. Front passenger axle seal was replaced around 40k. Windshield washer nozzle replaced 34k. I used to occasionally get the "no key detected" alarm, but haven't seen that in probably over a year. Still on original spark plugs (every time I check them they look fine). The auto up feature on the window switch sometimes won't work (it'll stop halfway or so). Blower motor occasionally gives a high pitched squeak at low speed. When I accelerate quickly from a stop there's some sort of banging/knock noise I can feel and hear in first gear. Seems like something with transfer case or transmission. When it's cold out, sounds like I'm getting piston slap but after motor warms up its quiet. Had to put coolant in it once. Not sure where it went, no leaks. Along with power steering fluid. Again, no leaks so not sure where it went. I've had RRO 2.5" lift since 33k and that hasn't given me any issues. And Hemifever tune for about 10k. I've been happy with it overall. Definitely a solid jeep.

'11 JGC........just under 26,000 no issues other than recalls.
'15 JGC........1500 three visits to fix 8.4 screen, third visit replaced screen, other than that no issues, purchased the '15 on the reliability and problem free experience of owning the '11.Very happy with the '11,only 1500 miles on our '15 but other than being irritated by the screen(which works fine since replacement) have no complaints.Wife hasn't mentioned any further problems with our newer one in awhile now.Personally, happy with my investments, but there again,I am a Jeep die hard and keep them along time.

2014 Summit V6. 48k miles. Several transmission flashes when new and is fine now. Brakes are just starting to chirp so I guess they're up shortly. Love the vehicle.

Re: Wk2....how many miles on yours, and what problems???

2014 Laredo 4X4. Only real issue was a failed rear passenger shock. I noticed the clunk noise with 9,000 miles on the clock, but the dealerships said it was just a noise. I did manage to get both rears replaced under warranty, but it took way too long in my opinion.

However, this thing has been running great otherwise. 34,000 miles on the clock so far. I went ahead and got the max care haha.

Re: Wk2....how many miles on yours, and what problems???

2011 Laredo X (took delivery September 2011):

1) Wiring harness for drivers seat side impact airbag needed to be replaced at about 700 miles. Warranty repair.

Traded in March 2015 with about 32,000 miles.

2015 Limited with Luxury Group (took delivery March 2015):
Currently has 7,600 miles

1) Left front headlight needed to be replaced at about 3,000 miles, bad control module, left turn signal did not work. Was one of the auto-leveling HID ones with the LEDs. Warranty repair.
2) Rear shocks noisy and leaking excessively, replaced at 7,000 miles along with upper shock mounts. Warranty repair.
3) Steering wheel would not tilt up and down, was stuck in the raised position. Power tilt and telescope. After 3 days, the dealer said they found a loose wire. 7,000 miles. Warranty Repair.
4) Passenger side reverse light was filled with condensation, light was replaced. 7,000 miles. Warranty repair.

Prior to the WK2s, I had a ZJ 1998 Grand Cherokee Laredo Special Edition (took delivery July 1998), had to have the Selec-Trac transfer case rebuilt due to some internal problems with the gears at about 20,000 miles. Warranty Repair.

Then I had a WJ for 10 years, a 2001 Laredo (took delivery October 2001), had to have the dashboard removed at sometime in 2009 to replace the whole air conditioning assembly behind the glovebox due to an impossible to access refrigerant leak. Third-Party Warranty Repair done by the dealer, paid for (minus my $100.00 deductible) by the third party warranty I had purchased for this vehicle after the factory warranty expired.

Funniest part is, none of them have ever been abused or taken off-road. All of them were purchased or leased brand new. Daily drivers, and I take care of my vehicles better than most people take care of their own children. But, I love my Grand Cherokees. The only thing I've driven for 18 consecutive years.

MY14 Overland Hemi 4x2 - 24,920 mi - zero mechanical issues. Out of the recalls, ive only done the uconnect update. Door molding trim (glossy black) was replaced as it was coming off. Change oil/filters at 5k intervals so i'm approaching my next change.
